CHAPTER 99

Arnav came out of his thoughts and came and laid beside Khushi holding her close to him and thinking about the day to day events and finally Khushi' s past was out and he would have to deal with this matter one by one and he decided that he will speak to Shashi Gupta very soon as she had still insecurities about her parents and clarifying it was very important!!

Khushi got up next day in her usual time and smiled seeing Arnav's hold on her waist and slowly without disturbing his sleep she got up and went to washroom to freshen up and start her daily routine.....she went to the terrace and started thinking about her life how it has changed after her marriage with Arnav...she had given up about leading a happy life after being married to Vidyut..

FLASHBACK 5 STARTS

After promising to her father that she would marry Vidyut within few days Khushi and Vidyut had got married with a least bothered Vidyut in the marriage and Khushi also cared less as her mind was still confused with her own thoughts...From the first night of the marriage itself Vidyut always stayed out for the obvious reasons and his mother always covered it up saying he is working hard for the deal in front of Khushi. As Anjali stayed with Shyam at her place she could not make out the changes in Khushi as she used to visit only once in a while...Sharada Jaiswal was modern from outside but narrow minded from inside so she had clearly mentioned it to Khushi that she should wear only Kurtis and jeans and salwar's after her marriage with Vidyut and learn cooking as soon as possible as they would leave for London very soon for her husband's treatment!!She also told to stop roaming around with boys and cousins as he is the daughter in law now..Khushi being Khushi just agreed to whatever her MIL told not wanting to create any problems but slowly within 1 and half months of marriage she started feeling suffocated in the house where only Vidyut's father cared for her a ever finding fault MIL, never bothered husband she started staying aloof and started spending more time in the library ...Anjali had a doubt about Khushi's behavior but thought she might get adjusted to the new house very soon then everything might be alright...Sohan would call sometimes but with him also Khushi limited the conversation not wanting to hurt anyone after her dads attack which left a deep impact on her!!

Everything was fine until one day Vidyut came home drunk and forced himself on Khushi in the drunk state and Khushi couldn't do anything due to his strength and as her FIL was extremely sick and lying unconscious in the next room along with the worried MIL...that day Khushi not only lost her virginity but felt disgusted of herself for allowing her husband to rape her without her consent..soon she went to her home to inform her parents that she couldn't live with the sick minded person like him but couldn't tell it seeing her dad happy after so many days and recovering from the attack..soon she shifted in to adjacent room telling her MIL that she had exams and need to study to be as far as possible from her husband. But she never knew the fear was deep inside her that was coming in the form of nightmares her dads attack and Vidyut forcing herself on her making her feel even more scared about him!! She had spent nights when her door knocked or when she knew her beast husband was there at home...she could never sleep a wink most of the days thinking she was educated, smart and everyone wanted to be like her but her life she got herself in to the marriage which was not her choice and allowing her to get raped which most f them even consider rape these days as it was her husband who did her and it was his right according to the society....the constant fear of being harassed again and questioning her own existence became the root cause for all her nightmares. That was the main reason for Khushi to learn martial arts in the final year of her course as she didn't want to fear for anything.(CHAPTER 27 - kHUSHI SAVES LAVANYA IN PUB)

Her 4th semester exams were just 2 weeks away when she was feeling headache, giddiness and then she realized that she could be pregnant as she had not got her periods yet. She panicked as she hadn't thought about it..she didn't know whom to tell or with whom to speak about it...so first she went to the hospital and confirmed about being pregnant, she was happy that she was being a mother but she also had exams few weeks away and she was not prepared for all of these but she wanted to tell it to Vidyut before telling it to anyone..she just hoped at least everything would be alright now as any person would be happy knowing that he would be a father...with these thoughts she went to his office when his PA told that he is in the meeting room with a model discussing things and she could wait till they finish the meeting..she waited for sometime but as her meeting with him was urgent she went in to the meeting room and was shocked her husband making out with the famous model Sheetal!!She went to Anjali di's house as she is the only one who could help..

Khushi(in tears):Di.....

Khushi hugged Anjali as soon she opened the door...making her all worried...

Anjali(worried):What happened Khushi??why are you crying ?

Khushi(crying):Di...I am pregnant..!!

Anjlai(surprised):Khushi...Congratulations!!!I am so happy for you...but why are you crying??

Khushi(in tears):Di...I have to complete my study still and I was not ready for this...

Anjali(confused):What do you want to say Khushi??

Khushi:(crying)I want to abort the baby di...

Anjlai(shocked):Khushi do you even know what you are saying??You are thinking to kill your own baby??Khushi what is wrong with you??

Khushi(in tears):Please di...I can't handle any more....

Anjali(angry):What Khushi?what you can't handle anymore??Just because you are studying doesn't mean that you cannot become a mother and you are ready to kill your own baby??I will tell it to Vidu..only you both can decide...

Anjali goes to call Vidyut...

Khushi(crying):Yes tell di..go and tell him tell to my husband who is busy sleeping with the model Sheetal tell him that he is becoming a father...go ahead di...

Anjali(shocked):Khushi...you know what you are saying??

Khushi(in tears):I have seen in my own eyes di when I went to tell him...please di I can't handle this marriage anymore...I feel suffocated please get me out of this..I don't want to spoil my baby's life..please help me di..please...

She kneels on the floor...crying...

Anjali feels sad feeling her state and makes her sit on the sofa and gives her water and calms her down..!!

Anjali(sighs):Okay Khushi if you want it so then let it be ..come I know a gynecologist I will take you there she might help us...

Khushi: ok di...

Anjali and Khushi reached hospital and went in to doctors cabin....

Khushi's scanning was done and Khushi could see a small dot shown by the doctor indicating a baby..she was feeling nervous thinking whatever she is doing is right or wrong..and soon came out of the scanning room..

Doctor Alia: Baby is fine...but I want to tell you are you sure about abortion because there are thousands of women who crave to become mother and you are letting go of that chance..!!

Anjali looks at Khushi hoping that Khushi would change her mind!!

Khushi(teary eyed):Yes....

Doctor Alia: Ok then tomorrow at 11 we will have the procedure....please come at that time...

Khushi: Okay..

Anjali drops Khushi in front of her brother's house and gets down and comes next to her

Anjali(softly): Khushi...I know that you are going through a lot now...but I want you to think about the abortion once again whatever it is I will be with you...but think carefully about this for your sake and your baby's sake!!Okay??

Khushi(softy):Ok...di..

Anjali(sighs):Take care..I will call you tomorrow....

With that Anjali gets in to her car and leaves with Khushi lost in thoughts.
