CHAPTER 97

Arnav came out of the room as Dr Sarita had given her sedative and informed him that she will be unconscious for 1 hour as she needs mental rest after being hypnotised..

Arnav sat in the chair which was placed in the room where Khushi was unconscious

ASR(thinking):I dono Khushi whether to feel happy that you confessed your love for me even though you were in hypnotised state or to feel sad that you had to go through so much and not even anyone knows this completely!!Each and everyone has given you their part of pain including me...I don’t know how to bring you out of this..as I myself don’t know how could a person suffer so much and still smile and think about others...

FLASHBACK:1

Dr Sarita:So Khushi...tell me about your family???

Khushi:I have a dad,mom and a younger sister...my dad is the ideal dad,ideal husband and ideal officer everything...and they loved each other lot...until...i came to know the bitter truth!!

Dr Sarita:What truth Khuhi??

Khushi:That day i came back from my college early as my classmates had massbunked the classes and i had got my 3rd sem results and had got very good marks so i came back early to share this with my mom and nani(mom’s mom)who was staying with us for few days...

Dr Sarita:Then what happened??

Khushi:I wanted to surprise them so i tiptoed in to my mother’s room to peak in to the room but stood still listening to their conversation....

Dr Sarita:What were they speaking Khushi??

FLASHBACK:2

Nani:Why are you fighting again with Shashi Garima??

Garima(angrily)Because he still loves her!!

Khushi stood shocked outside the room listening to her mom saying that her dad loves someone else..

Nani :What are you saying??He had promised you right that he would stop his affair with her when you were pregnant with Khushi??

This was another shock for Khushi that her dad had an affair with some women and left her only because her mom was carrying her!!Khushi’s eyes started tearing listening to this as she thought her dad was an ideal person in all ways!!

Garima :No Amma ...he left her because he considered the baby as his responsibility and he couldn’t just turn his back on it...so

Khushi didn’t know one day she would listen to all these things from her own mouth about her dad...does it mean that her dada didn’t love her??was she only his responsibility??

Nani: Whtaever it is Garima...you were hell bent on going for abortion when you came to know about being pregnant with Khushi  and  when you came to know about Shashi’s affair it was I who convinced you to use the baby to save your marriage and like i said he left that lady right??now what are you worried for??

Khushi stood rooted to the spot as her tears flowed freely now after knowing that her mom wanted to abort her and she was used as a pawn for saving her marriage and for dad she was responsibility...was she even important to anyone she thought!!

Garima :Yes Amma ...I did that because i loved him  and i could do anything to keep him with myself...so I agreed to your suggestion  and didn’t go for abortion!!
