He was elated seeing that letter because now he knew Khushi was also affected by his touch and closeness which have him sense of satisfaction that it was mutual from both the sides...with that he went to Nani’s room to get another letter where he had lifted her in his arms and carried her to their room making her sleep with him as he was not able to sleep but today he also got to know that even she couldn’t sleep with out him as she herself had mentioned in the letter...
