To you I write, My dear friend,
I hope this lockdown comes to an end.
I remember the days when we had fun hours long,
But now it's in the past, faded and gone.
A month ago, we were all so fit,
But now our stomachs are expanding, bit by bit.
The playground here seemed very strange,
But the puzzle was not complicated as a maze.
The playground here was all deserted,
It's been that way since we all were alerted.
Of the dangers, the scientists identified,
Of playing a swing or a slide.
We are addicted to technology;
And keeping hygiene has now become the priority.
The Internet has found a way to keep the kids entertained,
But I feel this is all preordained.
God created a paradise,
But we made it paralyzed.
Nature showed its anger by releasing a deadly disease,
And by turning us into its chess piece.
Nature has a gift for thee,
It makes us all feel free,
When we destroy such a gift,
Our lives will always be adrift.
Take care of nature,
And nature will take care of you.
