Catra's POV

Catra sat at her desk and rubbed her temples out of irritation. Melog lay beside her feet, napping as the catgirl thought over everything. I can't..not this quick, that isn't even possible. Maybe I'm just happy to be around her again. Catra thought, she decided she would stick to that theory and began to write in the journal her therapist assigned her before she was released. Catra finished after writing for a bear hour, the girl's tail flicked to and fro as she stared out her window. Catra ended up on the couch, eating chips and watching tv, she preferred to laze around when she wasn't busy. Though her mind wasn't interested in the tv and what was going on. Her phone buzzed, making Melog stir in their sleep, (the creature had followed Catra to the couch, they liked to be near the catgirl almost all the time.) Catra picked it up and read the messages.

Princess: Hey, you want to go on a vacation?

Catra was surprised at this but quickly thought of a reply,

Yeah sure, when?

Adora didn't answer immediately, but when she did the dark haired girl was surprised yet again.

Princess: Tomorrow

Catra chuckled and ran a clawed hand through her messy hair, she always knew Adora was bad at making plans and waited last minute. I should probably pack, I don't want to be last minute like Adora always is. She let out a hum and headed back into her room before stuffing a few more chips into her mouth.

Adora's POV

Adora was pretty happy, she thought Catra would decline out of bitterness but turns out the childhood friend accepted the offer. I hope all goes well tomorrow. She thought nervously before packing her bag, I'll bring a book or two in case I can't sleep. She nodded to herself before grabbing two books just to be sure and placed them somewhat neatly in the bottom of the bag. Clothes, definitely. Both night and casual. And maybe..a swimming suit..? Damnit I forgot to buy one. Whatever I'll have to make do with what I have. She grumbled to herself before grabbing swimming shorts and a shirt she didn't like that much before shoving them into the bag with the rest of the clothes she put in there.
The blonde was up late packing her bag, because she got distracted about 7 times. Adora woke up to the alarm clock on her phone ringing loudly in her ear and she yawned and checked the time. Shit I'll be late! She rubbed her eyes groggily and began to get ready. She shoved on a green shirt and blue jeans, grabbing her bag hastily she called up Perfuma and tilted her head to the side so her phone was pinned against her shoulder and ear as she yanked her front door open, locking it and then closing it.
"Heyyy Perfuma, I may be a little late. I'll meet you at parking garage. Yeah. Yeah. Sounds great. Also I'm-" Perfuma had hung up and she groaned. I'm bringing a friend. She thought as she began to nearly speed towards Catra's house.
As she neared the catgirl's house she saw Catra waiting for her on her porch. She had dark sunglasses on, Adora looked down and so did Melog. Adora shook her head and smiled dumbly as she honked the horn, Catra patted Melog's head and the walked to her car and got in. "Ready?" The blonde with gray blue eyes asked as she pulled out and began to drive. Catra looked back at Melog cuddled up beside her bag and looked back to Adora and nodded, "Yep." She replied, popping the 'p'. Catra hooked up her phone to the radio and began to play Queen. She tapped her clawed fingers along the dashboard to the beat and Adora cocked a brow, "Didn't know you liked Queen." She smirked only to have it disappear when Catra said "There's a lot of things you don't know about me." Catra felt guilty and asked, "Where are we going anyway?" She stared out the window as Adora switched lanes smoothly. "To Perfuma's beach house." Adora simply responded, casting Catra a glance when they stopped at a red light. She looks really good. She thought before her cheeks flushed slightly.

Catra's POV

The trees blurred as the car sped by, she was excited to be going to the beach. Lots of sunbathing and relaxing to do, stars knew she needed it after the past week. Meeting Adora again, breaking up with her girlfriend. The dark girl adjusted her sunglasses and sighed. Her friend looked over briefly and frowned, "Something the matter?" She softly asked only to have Catra shrug, "You didn't have to come if you didn't want to Catra." She said with more firmness to her voice that she didn't intend. Catra's ears flattened "I did want to come! I really do...it's just.." she trailed off and her tail flicked thoughtfully, "This week has been crazy." She muttered to which Adora asked the question Catra didn't want her to ask, "How so?" The catgirl wanted to groan but stifled it at most. "I broke up with Scorpia." She simply said, maybe she could get away with this one excuse. Adora looked shocked, "Why? Weren't you happy with her?" She frowned, her eyes focused on the road. Catra looked at Adora, almost in a way that said that she yearned to tell her the truth. "Scorpia is an amazing girlfriend, sweet, kind, caring. All the things you would want in one, but I feel I wasn't right for her. Or maybe I just didn't love myself enough yet to love someone else, I didn't want to hurt her, truly I didn't." She explained, lying in some parts. Don't get her wrong, she did care about Scorpia a whole lot but she didn't like her in that way. She only got with her out of spite from Adora getting adopted. Adora didn't respond, she wore a stone face that Catra was unable to read.
Catra had fallen asleep, she felt hands shaking her gently awake. "Hey, we're here." Adora whispered and the blue and yellow eyed girl stretched, ready to step out into sunshine, but she stepped out into darkness. Confused she looked to see a parking garage. Adora giggled, "Ready for the beach huh? No, we're not there yet sadly." She said and opened the car door for Melog who had dragged out Catra's bag. "We're riding with Perfuma for the rest of the way." Catra's ear flicked in annoyance, if she wasn't already annoyed enough before, she certainly was now. Catra found the pale blonde girl to be very irritating, for many reasons. "Alright, lets just get this over with." She said loudly enough for the pale blonde to hear and scowl. "Adora! Why is she here?!" Perfuma hissed, "Well before you hang up on me I was going to tell you I was bringing 'her'." Adora explained, Catra let a smile break out on her face. It quickly went away when she saw a familiar tall muscular woman.
Scorpia.
Oh this will be greaat.
