Adora's POV

A few days have passed since the masquerade ball. Things had been going smoothly for both Adora and Catra, they texted each other almost 24/7. Catra would visit Adora at the club and keep her company while she did her work and Adora would give Catra surprise visits and they would watch movies. She was happy, really happy. Even Glimmer and Bow noticed that she was much more energetic and cheerful. Though Adora wasn't ready to tell them about her relationship with Catra, they weren't 100% fond of her, so Adora just kept it on the down low. Today was going to be different, Adora invited Catra out on a date. They were going to go to the fair then have dinner and just have fun, though Adora didn't know how dates worked so she hoped Catra did, she wouldn't be surprised if Catra did. How many people has Catra dated? She wondered and a hint of jealousy pricked her heart. Adora shook her head and got in the shower. She was going to run some errands today. First, she was going to go to the bank and withdraw money leaving money from her savings in there. Then, she was going to make a reservation at a fancy restaurant. After that, she would pay for anything else if they went anywhere else. She found it to be a great plan and was very excited to spend some time with Catra.

Catra's POV

Melog sat as Catra told them all about Adora and how happy she was. Melog simply meowed at her after she was done ranting, Catra blushed after, "I guess you could say I'm settling for Something Domestic." She agreed as her tail waved happily behind her, "But it doesn't change the fact I'm still a bit scared." Catra added more quietly, Melog meowed again, "No Melog, not about the date. I've been on plenty of those. I'm scared of getting hurt, I trust Adora. But what if I get hurt again?" She wondered, Melog didn't answer this time, only looked away in thought. Catra patted their head and said "Worry not my loyal companion, I'll be okay." She assured with a hint of joking to her voice. Melog tackled her and nuzzled her lovingly and she laughed, pushing the large snout away, "Okay okay I love you too bud, she'll be picking me up around 7:20 so I should probably get ready around 6:30." Catra planned before looking at Melog, "What should I wear? Should I wear something fancy or just wear something comfortable?" Catra fretted before walking to her room.
She decided when 6:30 rolls around she'll get ready and put on a long sleeved shirt with jeans. "Hmm any accessories such as bracelets?" Catra's blue and yellow eyes flickered up in thought for a moment before she shook her head saying "No, no. I don't need to over dress. It's a simple date, why am I so nervous? I wasn't nervous when I took Scorpia on dates or anyone else!" Catra sighed and sat down at her desk, getting ready to write in her journal.

Adora's POV

The blonde tapped as she waited, she made a reservation at a private booth so they wouldn't be disturbed. Adora wanted to talk to Catra about something important but she figured it could wait one night. The sun was slowly but surely setting and Adora grew excited to see her new girlfriend again. She got ready, putting on a nice shirt and pants, as she went to open her door she eyed the vanilla folder on a nearby coffee table. It can wait. She said before walking out the door.
Adora smiled lovingly as the catgirl entered her car, reaching for the blonde's hand. "Let's go, I'm starving." She licked her lips to express how hungry she was. Adora grinned and gripped the clawed hand as she pulled out to go to the fancy restaurant, the drive would be somewhat long. It was at the end of town where the fair was. From time to time Adora would steal quick glances at Catra while she drove, the dark haired girl stared out the window. It looked to Adora the girl with cat ears didn't want their hands to separate, so Adora kept hers there for the whole ride.
They arrived at the fancy restaurant and Adora helped the catgirl out of the car and gripped her hand as they walked in. "Reservation under the name Adora," she quietly and more politely said. Catra eyed the place before letting out a soft snicker, "Really Adora? You don't have to go out of your way to impress little ol' me." The dark brunette purred as Adora led her to the private booth. Catra admired the fancy decorations as she slid into the booth across from Adora, "Let me tell you, you look great tonight." Catra murmured and reached for Adora's hand across the table. "As do you," Adora replied and rubbed her thumb gently across Catra's.

Catra's POV

The restaurant was fancy. The food tasted great too! Now Catra found herself at a fair with her girlfriend Adora. She would watch as the blonde would find another game for them to play and just watch how her face lighted up. Oh how I love this dumb blonde. Catra thought and let herself be dragged to another game, she couldn't keep her eyes off of Adora's face. The blue eyed blonde was just so beautiful and amazing, Catra didn't even care she was losing to her. All that mattered in those moments was Adora's happiness, she found herself purring as Adora grabbed her hand again. "Catra..? You okay?" She said with a light chuckle and Catra just nodded and kissed her gently. "I'm more than okay." Her ear flicked as she whispered those words to the blonde, "Let's wrap it up, it's getting pretty late and I don't want to keep you out past your curfew. Melog might get mad at me." Adora teased as she went to go drag Catra to one last game before stopping. "You choose." She blandly said, Catra's head flew towards her in shock, "Me? You want me to choose?" The feline girl said bewildered. Catra's mismatched eyes darted from game to game before her eyes landed on the Ferris wheel. (Wow me, if I couldn't be anymore cliche). She pointed a clawed finger at it and Adora followed the line until she also found herself gazing at it. "Okay, lets go." She said and dragged the catgirl along again, Catra was very happy and she couldn't wait to tell Melog all about it. How Catra found herself addicted to the blonde's laugh or how her face lit up when she found a new game to play. Her smile grew and she hugged Adora as they stood in the line. "I love you so much, I'm so glad we met again." Catra purred, her purrs grew louder and louder until some heads turned to look. Adora smiled back and led them onto their cart. They sat across from each other and gazed out onto the ground below. "Tonight was really fun, thank you." Catra gently said to break the silence, Adora looked over and smiled, there it was. That stupidly cute smile Catra loved bringing out so much. "Well expect more dates like this then." She confidently smirked only to have Catra sarcastically smirk back. "I want to take you on dates too you know, you can't hog dates just like you hog everything else!" She joked and they both found themselves laughing, but only to have it die down quickly. Catra looked eyes with Adora's blue ones, "Really though, thank you." She said with a more serious tone. She knew very well that there were so many words left unsaid and if she were to try and tell Adora them all they'd have to go on another long ride on the Ferris Wheel.
After goodbye kisses and hugs Catra was very happy and walked with a bounce to her step. She waltzed into her room to find Melog asleep, Catra sneakily slipped into bed to go to sleep. I love her so much. Were her last thoughts before she drifted into a deep sleep.
