Adora's POV

Adora watched as Catra sat down with the friends they had in the orphanage. She felt tugging at her arm and turned to Entrapta, "Alright alright I'm coming."'Adora sighed and followed the shorter girl to the library. Entrapta insisted they go to the library today to see her friend Hordak, who was a fellow librarian there. The other librarian being his brother, Waldo, who everyone called Wrong Hordak since they were twins. Wrong Hordak wasn't the brightest of the bunch but he was so sweet. As they walked into the library Hordak greeted them nonchalantly and WH excitedly waved at the two. "Hey Entrapta!" WH giggled and winked at her to which Adora's brow twitched, "That's—that is not how winking works." Hordak gestured an index finger to his lips with a glare directed towards Adora and WH.
Adora followed Entrapta around the library in search of books on technology or something stupid like that. She was surprised to see Entrapta pick up a manga (yes Entrapta is a weeb to me). "Y- you actually like anime and manga?" Adora stuttered to which the long haired girl giggled and smiled with a shy nod. The blonde's eyes widened in shock as she continued to follow the girl around, "You can also pick out a book if you'd like." Entrapta said with a small hint of annoyance to her voice, Adora took that as 'Go away' so she went off to find herself a novel to read.

Catra's POV

Catra's mismatched eyes followed a certain blonde until she was out of sight. "Catra! Are you listening?" Lonnie nearly yelled, snapping Catra out of her train of thought. "Yes yes I am, continue." She said calmly as she sipped on her drink, Lonnie gave a proud smirk and puffed out her chest confidently. "I took him down without a second thought, he was like 5x bigger than me too!" She said proudly to which Rogelio rolled his eyes and huffed. Catra's tail flicked thoughtfully, "That's pretty cool Lonnie, I think I have to head out now. It was nice to see you guys again." Catra mumbled and stood up, giving a final wave to her childhood friends before heading to the library. She was determined to find the blonde and apologize. Which is weird because she's never determined to apologize.
She could've sworn she passed this shelf five times! Catra grumbled but it soon stopped when she saw a certain blonde ponytail. She smiled and darted towards it, she grew worried when it disappeared. Catra's head shot right and left as she desperately searched for the blonde, her claws unsheathing and sheathing, for she was deep in thought. She took a deep breath and calmed down, she still has time before Adora went back to drive to the airport. Or at least that was what Glimmer told her. After all Adora leaves tomorrow, not today. Catra reminded herself everything would be okay and she rounded a corner when she bumped into someone. "Hey watch i-" she began but when she looked up she saw Adora. "It." Catra finished breathlessly, "Oh, uh. Sorry." Adora struggled, going to move around her but Catra grabbed her wrist, "Adora wait, please." She pleaded, going to give her a hug but heard Entrapta call for Adora. The blonde looked down at the catgirl before gingerly peeling her off of her. "Catra I have to go, we can talk later. Okay?" She said so sweetly that it made Catra's heart melt. Her ears flicked and she nodded in a trance. She felt Adora cup her cheek affectionately before dashing towards Entrapta.

Adora's POV

Adora's brows furrowed as she thought of her encounter with Catra. She missed her of course but Catra hurt her, she decided she would talk to the feline girl later, but for now she had things to focus on. "What book did you get?" Entrapta asked as they walked, "I didn't get one. Couldn't make up my mind." Adora shrugged as they stopped at an ice cream shop, "I wonder if they have tiny ice creams." Entrapta giggled and pressed her face up to the viewing window. This girl and her obsession with tiny food. Adora rolled her eyes and dragged the purple haired girl away to go home.
Adora only slightly listened as Entrapta ranted about the manga she rented. "I should recommend this to Hordak! What do you think?" Entrapta let out one of her crazy laughs and bounced on her feet, "Sure, I'm not sure if he knows how to read manga correctly though.." The blonde trailed off as she stopped at Entrapta's gate. "See you around 'Trapta!" Adora called, not in the least bit offended when the short girl didn't answer and closed the door. Time for me to go home now I guess. The blue eyed girl thought and began her journey home.
"Has anyone ever told you that you'll lose your hair when you're in your early thirties because you keep your hair up all the time?" She heard a familiar voice and turned around to see Catra and her tail waving behind her. "Catra-" Adora began but she felt too hurt to say anything so she just lowered her gaze and kept walking. "Not now Catra, I have packing to do." Adora nearly snapped as she saw from the corner of her eye to see Catra hovering around. "Adora please, we need to talk about this. Please." Catra begged and grabbed Adora's hand but the blonde pulled away stubbornly. "What is there to talk about? You left me, I'm going to college." Adora snapped and walked away faster. Catra made no attempt to follow her, the catgirl just stood and stared after her longingly. Why am I such an idiot? Adora sighed as she opened her door and closed it, locking it behind her. Adora headed to bed, purchasing a plane ticket for the next day. She tried not to worry about Catra and fell asleep.
