Season 1, Episode 3: The Amazing World of Chaos - The city of Elmore appears to be under attack from peculiar creatures known as Lil' Terrors. In order to vanquish them, Sora, Sonic, and Crash must find the source of pure light within the city.

Sora, Sonic, and Crash soon found themselves in a large city. "Is this London?" asked Sonic.
"Let's look around and see," Sora suggested. "I'm sure there is someone who can tell us."
They suddenly heard a strange noise and turned around, only to come face-to-face with a few creatures they had never seen before. They appeared to be made of purple smoke, which was mysterious indeed.
Sora quickly summoned his Keyblade. "What are these things?" he wondered.
"I'm not sure, but they are obviously up to no good," Sonic said in response. Crash put up his fists, also ready for battle. After a few minutes, the peculiar creatures were still standing. "They appear to be immune to our attacks. What...what should we do?"
"I say...run!"
The trio ran as quickly as their legs would carry them. Since Sonic had the ability to run faster than the speed of light, he decided to just pick up Sora and Crash so things would go by quicker. This way, they instantly lost the monstrosities.
The three looked around and noticed that they were in front of a small two-story house. A short, blue anthropomorphic feline could be seen speaking with someone on the phone.
The cat stared at the guardians. "I'll...call you back," he said through the phone. Then he hung up and approached the strangers. "Are you new to the neighborhood?"
"We sure are," Sora replied, not exactly sure of what to say. "I am Sora, and this is Sonic and Crash." He pointed at his friends as he said their names. "Who are you?"
"I'm Gumball. Welcome to Elmore—"
"You mean...this isn't...London?" Sonic interrupted.
"No, but I've heard of the place. It's FAR away from here."
"Oh boy..."
"But since you're here, let me show you around. This city doesn't really have much."
After a while of walking around the city, the same creatures from earlier appeared. "Get behind us!" Sora said to Gumball, who obeyed.
About five minutes passed and the monsters had yet to be vanquished. Sora, Sonic, Crash, and Gumball ran in the opposite direction, with Gumball leading the way. He led the guardians to a tree house, which they quickly climbed into. Luckily, the creatures did not appear again—at least not for now, anyway.
"That was close," Sora panted.
"What were those things?" Gumball asked.
"We aren't certain what they were. We had never seen them before today."
"What are you guys talking about?" a voice asked, causing the group of four to turn around. They saw an orange anthropomorphic fish, one of which had legs.
"Darwin, what are you doing here?" Gumball asked.
"Who is that exactly?" Sonic asked.
"Darwin's my adopted brother."
"I'm hiding from some strange monsters I saw outside," Darwin said.
"You saw them, too?" Sora asked.
"Yeah. They're all over the city. This is the only place I could get away from them."
"I wonder what they're called..." Gumball wondered aloud.
"Those creatures are known as Lil' Terrors," an unfamiliar voice replied.
The five turned around to come face-to-face with a pink anthropomorphic feline with a pink dress, pink fur, and pink hair that was tied in pigtails. There were golden bells in her hair; said bells served as rubber bands, as strange as it seemed.
"Who are you?" Sora asked.
"My name is Mad Mew Mew," the feline replied, "but you can call me Mew for short. Now, about the Lil' Terrors—they come from the Book of Magic, which happened to be written by a particular spirit. The book is located somewhere in London. That is where you are headed, correct?"
    Sora nodded. "How did you—"
"Know? Let's just say...I have my ways. Now let me explain. The one who wrote the Book of Magic is long dead, but she still finds ways to terrorize London's inhabitants. She wrote the book shortly after her death, and she hadn't even realized it."
    "What do you mean?"
That girl has always been nothing but trouble. Her parents died when she was seven years old, and she herself was murdered at eleven. She had spent most of her time after that in an asylum. Her psychiatrist tried to make her sane again, tried to make her forget about the past...or at least that was what he wanted her to believe. He actually wanted her to possess more insanity than she already did.
"Shortly before the girl's death, her psychiatrist found a way to lurk into her dreams. In them, he made her write the Book of Magic. After she was killed and found the book—well, she has been causing trouble to this day."
"Did she create those Lil' Terrors or something?" Sonic asked.
"Precisely. I believe I've said quite enough; you will learn more about the spirit later. In fact...you may just meet her."
"Meet a spirit?" Darwin questioned. "Don't you think that's a little strange?"
"What about Carrie?" Gumball pointed out.
    "Oh yeah!"
Mew smirked. "That spirit has always been full of mystery," she remarked. She looked at Sora, Sonic, and Crash again. "You three will see that for yourselves in the mere future. What that, I must take my leave." Mew disappeared in a flurry of what appeared to be stars.
"That was...weird," Gumball commented.
"That spirit Mew spoke of may be trouble," Sora said. "We need to remain vigilant in case we do come across her."
"You can say that again," Sonic agreed. "We should leave and get this over with."
"Right!"
"Good luck!" Darwin called as the guardians climbed out of the tree house.
Sora, Sonic, and Crash found several Lil' Terrors in a park nearby, attacking an elderly couple. The guardians fought the creatures with all their might, and they were fortunately vanquished that time.
"Finally," Sonic sighed.
"Thank you," the man said. "How can we repay you?"
"Oh, there's no need," Sora said.
"You sure?" Sora nodded in response. "Okay then." The man turned to his wife. "Let's go." The couple walked away.
Crash's ears began to twitch. "What is it, Crash?" Hundreds of Lil' Terrors appeared in the park. "Let's do this!"
The Lil' Terrors were eventually vanquished, although it took quite a while. "Looks like they're weak now," Sonic said. "Did something happen?"
"Maybe the spirit became weaker..."
"You think she's behind this?"
"If what Mew said is true, then yes."
"She's all the way in London, though, and there's no telling how far away that is."
"Let's continue searching for Lil' Terrors."
The trio made their way to a large school, where Lil' Terrors could be seen terrorizing who may have been the principal. The creatures were immediately vanquished, and the three heroes were thanked by the principal.
"What are your names?" the principal, who appeared to be covered in brown hair, asked. The heroes introduced themselves. "I am Principal Brown. Again, thank you for saving me."
"It was no problem," Sora said. "If those creatures keep terrorizing the city, just let us know."
Principal Brown nodded and walked away. "How many do you suppose there are?" Sonic asked.
"I'm not sure, but they must be defeated quickly."
Right when those words were uttered, more Lil' Terrors showed up. These were like the first few: they were immune to any attack. Gumball suddenly appeared and ran toward the monstrosities, miraculously vanquishing them with a simple karate attack.
"That was a close one," Sora said. "Thanks, Gumball. I didn't know you could fight like that."
"I didn't either," said Gumball. "Something just told me...that I needed to help you. It was like something suddenly gave me the power to fight."
"Right you here," said a familiar voice. Mew appeared through a mysterious portal. "Gumball...I was the one who gave you that power. But be warned, for this power of yours is temporary. You will possess great strength until the guardians of light you see before you find the source of light within this world."
    "What are you talking about?"
"I'm sure Sora and the others will explain everything to you." With that, Mew disappeared in a beam of shadows.
"She looks suspicious to me," Sonic said.
"What makes you say that?" Sora asked.
    "It's...nothing."
"What did she mean by all that?" Gumball asked.
    "How should we put this...?"
"You see, there are multiple worlds, each containing a source of pure light," Sora explained. "There are four guardians of light that are part of a prophecy—we happen to be three of them—and we must save all worlds from the pits of darkness. We just need to locate the fourth guardian, who is said to be in London."
"You mean to tell me...there are other worlds out there?" Gumball asked, astonished. "I knew it!"
"Did you already know about the existence of other worlds?" Sonic asked in confusion.
"It was a theory Darwin had, actually. I never believed him, though. I guess I can say that what he said is true now."
"Do you know what the source of light is in this world?"
Gumball held his chin. "Can't say that I do."
"Maybe it's the guardian of this world," said Sora. "I wonder who it is..."
"We just need to look around and see," Sonic said.
"Can I come with you guys?" Gumball asked.
"I suppose. Just don't get into any trouble."
    "Trust me, I won't."
Screaming could be heard coming from inside the school. The group of four ran inside to see that the principal, along with several teachers, was dodging the Lil' Terrors' attacks. Soda, Sonic, Crash, and Gumball vanquished them swiftly, but it was Gumball that defeated the majority of them.
Too bad this power's only temporary, Gumball sighed to himself.
"Is everyone all right?" Sonic asked. The staff members nodded.
"Did you see any more of those creatures?" Sora asked.
"They went that way," Principal Brown nodded, pointing down one of the hallways.
The guardians and Gumball made their way down the hallway, defeating any monstrosity that stood in their way. After all of them had been vanquished, Mew appeared once again.
"I must say, you all did a splendid job," she complimented. "But...you have yet to release the darkness from Elmore."
"What do you mean?" Sora asked. Crash titled his head in bewilderment.
"It may have been the spirit that created those creatures, but she did not send them here. In fact...it was me!"
"I knew something was suspicious about you!" Sonic exclaimed. "Why are you doing all of this?"
"Simple. I need to extract the heart from this world's guardian, who is, in fact, Gumball there."
"Me?" Gumball questioned. "How can it be me?"
"You are the source of pure light within this world, yet you have just realized it. You mortals really are simple-minded. Now if you'll excuse me, I must dispose of you at once..."
Mew summoned a wand that was shaped like a cat's head on the end. She used it to make the environment change in appearance. Instead of a school, the guardians of light and Mew were standing in a pitch-black room. Mew glared evilly at the mortals and began using her wand to attack them; she appeared to have dark magic.
"She has dark magic, too?!" Sonic exclaimed.
"Maybe she's working with Aisleen," Sora whispered.
"What are you guys talking about?" Gumball asked.
"We don't have time to explain. Mew must be taken care of."
Sora used his Keyblade to try to knock the wand out of Mew's paws, but he was knocked backward by a huge gust of wind. Sonic tried using a spin attack, but he failed as well. Crash tried the same thing, but to no avail.
What should I do, what should I do? Gumball thought in panic.
He decided to use his new karate abilities he had received. Why would Mew even give him that power if she was against him? That did not matter, as she needed to be dispatched as quickly as possible.
"Die!" Mew screamed. She used her dark magic against Gumball, who miraculously dodged every attack thrown at him. "Why won't you die?!"
Sora stood back up, helping Sonic and Crash back up as well. "Because he is a guardian of light," Sora said. "As long as one's heart is pure, they can achieve anything, especially alongside their friends. Friends are the key to one's heart—"
"And that is something you have yet to understand," Sonic added.
Mew began to smirk. "Friends mean nothing to me. They don't even exist."
"That's not true. Without friends, we would be...empty." Crash nodded in agreement, speaking in gibberish as he always did.
"You fools! The darkness is the true key to one's heart!"
"I don't think that's true at all," said Gumball. "Now that I have seen what these three are all about, I know just how important friendship really is. You will never understand that, Mew!"
Mew began to hold her head in agony. "Sh-Shut up!!!"
A huge gust of wind knocked the four heroes backward. Thousands upon thousands of Lil' Terrors began attacking them, but they were no match for the guardians. Mew, who was in a state of shock, screamed in fury.
"A curse on you mortals..." she growled. "A curse on you all! I shall return!"
As Mew disappeared, the area transformed back into what it was before. "I can't believe it was that easy," Sonic remarked.
"All she needed to hear was the truth," Sora said. "Now, where is that magic mirror?"
"Magic mirror?" Gumball questioned. "I don't know what you're talking about, but good luck."
"Thanks. We're going to need it."
As Gumball walked out of the school, Sora and his two friends found a magic mirror in one of the classrooms. They wondered what lies in store for them in the next world.
