Chapter 9

Will's P.O.V.

I tend to the girls wounds. I start with her arm because it's in the worst condition. Another Apollo child is feeding her ambrosia. One of the nymphs is attending her leg. I clean her wounds in her right arm and wrap it. I had to stitch her arm because it was too deep and wide. She was asleep. I sigh in relief as her breathing steadies and she smiles. Her hair is muddy and so is her face. Her shoes are caked in mud. She must of been running from a hellhound. She's lucky to survive. They're the only monsters big enough to make slash marks like that. The Apollo kid helping was none other than Nilene. The nymph left before I could get a name. I look outside and see Nico with Hazel. Hazel looks worried but that doesn't surprise me. What surprises me is that Nico seems tense and his eyes are worried. That's strange. I smile mostly at Nico. "She's fine. She's resting." I assure them. Hazel relaxes but Nico doesn't, his body is still stiff. Nico longingly looks past me as if he wants to see for himself. "Go on Nico. You can show her around when she comes around." I tell him. He nods and goes inside. I look at Hazel puzzled. She bits her lip. What is so obvious to her that I'm oblivious to? "What's going on with him?" I ask her concerned. "Oh, nothing specific right now. I'm probably wrong. Nothing to get worried about." Hazel says but her voice wavers. I raise an eyebrow at her but say nothing. I go inside and Nico's looking at her face puzzled. He studies her. He strokes her cheek. No! No e can't! I'll have to tell him soon! I don't care if it ruins anything I just need him to know the truth. If it's not too late. I can't believe Nico actually might like this girl! I walk out paled face waiting for him to exit too. Hazel is standing there. "Tell Nico to meet me at my cabin when he's done. I need to talk to him." I instruct Hazel. She nods. I go to my cabin and wait for Nico. I have to tell him our relashionship, even if it ruins everything. He deserves to know the truth even if he does leave me for that girl. As long as he's happy. Sunbaby, I love you. "*sings* Please don't take my sunshine away.*stops singing*" I choke out before a few strand tears fall down my face. Just the thought of loosing my Sunbaby was too much to bare. The door creaks open and Nico slides inside.
