Chapter 20

Nico's P.O.V.

We continue to ride down the dark hall. Will tightens his hold on me. Suddenly we're consumed by darkness. I get the sudden urge to kill everyone around me. Where did this come from. I hear clashing. My eyes adjust to the dark. Percy and Rebecca are.... fighting? What the heck? "Father loves me more! I've always been the more skilled and better fighter!" Percy yells. "Ha! You're so full of yourself! You arrogant fool! Father has always favored me! You are nothing compared to me!" Rebecca yells back. Percy scoffs. "So I guess you defeated Kronos, stole the Golden Fleece, found your way through the Labyrinth, returned Zues' lightning bolt, held up the sky, almost became a god, found Hermes' caduceus, and became praetor of Rome." Percy says cockily with a smirk on his face. Rebecca growls as Percy's smirk grows. "Face it lil' sis, I'm the better child and always have been. You'll always be second best! Oh, excuse me, third best. Tyson's a better child than you too. In fact, he lives with father!" Percy shoots. Rebecca yells out in anger. I junp down and push them away from each other. "Stop it! Both of you! Don't you see? This black stuff is making you fight. Why are you arguing in the first place? Who cares. It doesn't matter. Is being the favorite really worth killing each other? I it going to help Rebecca's friend?" I ask both of them. They lower their weapons. "You're right." Rebecca says shamefully. "Sorry Rebecca." Percy apoligizes. "It's okay. It was just this black cloud." Rebecca replies. Percy smiles at her and she returns it. "Let's go!" Rebecca says. We get back on our horses. I feel a sharp pain in my stomach and I fall off twitching in pain. "You always think you're better than me!" Will yells. My pegasus throws him off. "Will!" I call weakly. It was just the cloud. He didn't mean it. I feel my shirt starting to get soaked. "Nico!" Percy yells. He jumps down and runs to me. I twitch in pain. "Nico, you're gonna be alright. It's gonna be okay." Percy says as his voice wavers. He puts his hands on the wound. Everyone runs to me. "You gotta make it Nico! You have to!" Percy yells as he starts to tear up. I know why. He doesn't like losing people. He hates it. Even if I was angry with him he always cares about me. He was always my friend. They all were I just pushed them away. "Shh Percy. It's okay. You gotta go on without me. Take care of Will. It was just the cloud. Please take care of my Sunshine. Tell him I love him and that I will always be his Sunbaby." I whisper as tears start to run down my face. I love Will, I do. "Don't say that Nico!" Percy yells trying to stop the blood. "Goodbye guys." I whisper as my eyes close an everything goes black.
