Chapter Four - the Boys are all Here

Yunki and I get to work making the salad. While we are chopping the vegetables, I hear someone yawn. I look up and it's Park Jimin, walking through the living room towards the dining room, yawning sleepily and looking at his phone. Yunki says, "Little mochi, did you have a good nap?"

Jimin looks up at Yunki and smiles sheepishly. Then Jimin notices me and shyly looks at me. Then he turns to Yunki and says, with a sudden confidence, "You can't call me little, I'm taller than you."

Yunki replies, "Yeah, only because you are always wearing high heels. You even have heels on your house slippers."

Jesus, I feel like I am in the middle of an episode of Run BTS. What is next?

As if on queue, the elevator doors open. I turn to look and see who it is. It's Jung Hoseok. Glowing like the sun. Or is that sweat? He looks as if he probably just came back from a dance workout. He floats gracefully into the apartment, with a joyful smile on his face.

"Man, I just had a great dance workout. I came up with some new ideas for our choreography. Wait a minute, heh, hi?" J-Hope says, noticing me.

Jimin says, " Yunki?"

Now it's Yunki's turn to blush. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to be rude. This is Y/N. Y/N, meet Hoseok and Jimin."

In unison, JiHope says, in English, "Nice to meet you Y/N." Hoseok goes over to Jimin and puts his arm around his shoulder. "Did you have a good nap, sweetie?"

Jimin says "Yes, but you need a shower, hun."

Holy cuteness overload.

Hoseok turns to Yunki, "I'm going to have a quick shower in a bit but first, Yunki, tell me, what's the story here? Why is there a beautiful woman in our kitchen making salad?"

Yunki replies "Let's wait until everyone gets here. By the way, where are the rest?"

Jimin says, "They just texted me. They are on their way up with soju and mochi."

Hoseok says to me, "Mochi for mochi". Jimin looks over at me cutely. I nearly turn into a puddle on the floor, overwhelmed by how adorable JiHope is.

Suddenly, the elevator doors open again. Out walks Kim Namjoon, Kim Taehyung and Jeon Jungkook. RM and V are carrying multiple shopping bags and Jungkook is carrying a dessert box.

Namjoon walks over to the fridge, opens it, takes several bottles of soju out of the shopping bags and puts them in the fridge. Jungkook puts the dessert box on the counter. Taehyung walks with his shopping bags directly through the living room to the hallway, presumably where his room is located.

Hoseok says, "Tae, where are you going?" Taehyung yells back that he bought some clothes while out shopping and needs to hang them up before they got wrinkled. Hoseok follows him into the hallway, presumably to go and take his shower.

Jin shouts, "Hey the rest of you guys, please set the table. Dinner will be ready in a few minutes."

While Yunki and I finish putting together the salad, Namjoon starts getting out plates and utensils, while Jungkook and Jimin arrange the dining room. Namjoon and Jungkook haven't even noticed me yet.

Jimin says, "We need one more table setting." Namjoon looks around as if to say why, but before he can get the words out, he notices me, as I walk into the dining room with the finished salad and place it on the table. "Hi, I'm Y/N."

Namjoon and Jungkook look very puzzled. Yunki clarifies, "She's my dinner guest." They are still quite dumbfounded as Yunki introduces me to them. 

I stutter, "Yunki, are you sure I'm not imposing on you guys?"

Yunki shakes his head at me reassuringly and says, "Guys, stop being rude to my girl here. We'll explain everything over dinner."
