Jade reached across the table to grab her coffee cup. Unbenounced to her, her sleeve had ridden up exposing the scars that littered her forearm. "What are those?" Rosa asked, gesturing to Jade's arm. Jade looked to where Rosa was pointing and quickly pulled her sleeve back down. "Doesn't matter." She mumbled, looking to her feet. "How'd they happen?" Rosa asked, feigning ignorance. "It doesn't matter. Just drop it." Jade said. "Did you do them yourself?" Rosa leaned towards Jade. "I said drop it, Diaz!" Jade snapped, catching the attention of the entire bullpen as she stormed away. Rosa got up and followed after her. "Tati!" She shouted, attempting to catch up with the other girl. "T please." She called, following Jade into the locker room. "What?! What do you possibly want?!" Jade asked, turning to face Rosa with tears streaming down her face. "Why'd you do them?" Rosa said, rather sheepishly. "Funnily enough being blackmailed by your own parents at fourteen years old can get too much!" Jade snapped. "Wait what?! They blackmailed you?! That's a crime, T." Rosa's eyes widened as she just about yelled. "Keep your fucking voice down." Jade hissed. "Wait, what'd they even blackmail you about?" Rosa questioned, sitting down on a bench. "If you tell us who you kissed we'll let you back in the family. Tell us her name and we'll let you move back in. Shit like that." Jade said sourly. "They blackmailed you because of me?" Rosa looked at Jade who'd began pacing. "Yeah." Jade replied as if it were the most obvious thing in the world. "Why didn't you tell them?" Rosa asked. "I ain't gonna throw your ass under the bus." Jade scoffed. "I can hold my own." Rosa protested, standing up. "I don't doubt that for a second. But I know all the shit you got up to. I wasn't bouta make that worse." Jade said. Rosa's eyes widened. "Yeah. You didn't think that news would travel back home? I know all the shit that happened to you. Your fault or not. I wasn't about to add outing you to your parents to that list." Jade sighed. "I spent fifteen years getting threats and blackmail from my parents to protect the girl I loved and still do love." She said walking over to Rosa and holding her shoulders. "I love you Tati." Rosa smiled. "I love you too Rosie." Jade smirked, kissing Rosa's forehead.
