Cody POV

I opened the doors to the 99th precinct. It was a professional looking building. I approached the front desk.

"Can I help you ma'am?" The desk clerk said in a bored voice. He immediately sat up straight and adjusted a few things on his desk when his eyes fell upon my uniform. "I'm looking for a Rosa Diaz." I said.

"Fourth floor. I can phone up and tell her you're here if you'd like." He said teaching for the phone.
"No it's alright." I smiled walking towards the elevator. I pushed the button for the fourth floor.

I arrived at the fourth floor and the elevator doors opened. I looked around the bullpen immediately trying to spot my Latina girlfriend. A tall, muscled man approached me. "Can I help you ma'am?" He asked.

"I'm looking for Rosa Diaz." I said trying to look past him. He turned and called out her name just as I spotted her in the corner talking to some other people. She turned and spotted me, looking shocked for a second before running over to me.

"Cody!" She shouted as she ran. "Rosie." I smiled hugging her tightly. I pulled back from the hug and pulled her in for a kiss. Her soft lips meeting my cracked and broken ones. I pulled away and rested my forehead against hers.
"I missed you." I breathed kissing the small scar on her eyebrow gently. "I missed you too Codes." She giggled. She buried her head in my shoulder. I looked up and saw her coworkers staring at me. "Sup." I said simply. Rosa pulled away from me and frantically tried to wipe the tears from her face.
"Is Rosa Diaz crying?" One of her coworker said incredulously. "I know. You're smiling uncontrollably and crying, who are you and what have you done with Rosa Diaz?" I said jokingly. "Shut up Codes." Rosa mumbled. She went to introduce her coworkers to me but I stopped her.
"I wanna try put faces to names." I said taking Rosa's hand.
"Captain Holt." I point to the man standing at the opposite end of the bullpen.
"Gina." I point to the girl staring at her phone in the corner Rosa had been sitting in when I came in. "Charles." I point at the small man who is evidently trying to stop himself from squealing.
"Hitchcock and Scully." I point at the two men with many food stains on their shirts.
"Terry." I point to the man who called Rosa over.
"Jake and Amy." I point to the two people standing in front of me. "That's new though." I said gesturing to them holding hands. Amy held out her hand and introduced herself. "Cody Price, it's nice to meet you. Rosa's told me much about you." I smiled kindly.
"Wait Rosa talks about us at home?" Jake asked. "Yeah. She talks about everyone in the precinct." I said laughing as Rosa buried her head back into my shoulder and muttered for me to shut up. "So Cody, how long have you been in the army?" Amy asked. "Six years." I heard Rosa huff into my shoulder. "How long do you plan on serving for?" Jake asked wrapping an arm around Amy's shoulder. I slip my hand into Rosa's back pocket. "Actually I just finished serving my last term." I said pulling Rosa close to me. "Wait, does that mean what I think it means?" Rosa asked looking at me incredulously. "I'm officially a veteran." Rosa made a squealing sound I didn't know she was capable of making and hugged my waist tightly. Judging by the looks her coworkers were giving I don't think they knew she could make such a noise either.
"I'm assuming you also didn't know she could make such a sound." I said laughing as Rosa pulled away blushing profusely.
"No. I didn't know her voice could go that high." Charles said walking over. "And we will never speak of it again." Rosa snarled.
"Rosa, behave." I scolded watching as her shoulders relaxed and she put her guard down slightly.
"So Cody, what do you plan on doing now that you're no longer in the army?" Terry asked.
"Rosie, do you remember what I told you I wanted to do if I didn't get into the army?" I wrapped an arm around her waist. "You wanted to become a detective." Rosa said leaning her head on my arm.
"Ok a- Rosie? B- maybe you'd get to work here." Jake chuckled. Rosa whipped a knife from her back pocket and pointed it at him.
"Never call me Rosie again." She growled. Jake looked at me with panic in his eyes.
"You brought that one on yourself dude." I laughed. Jake's eyes widened as Rosa moved closer to him. I laughed as I watched Jake run away with Rosa close on his tail.
I love my girl.
