"Good morning everyone." Jake said, walking into the briefing room. "Hey Jake." Charles said as Jake sat down next to him. "How's your sister? We haven't heard about her in a while. When are we going to see her again? It's been a few weeks!"
"Well, I talked with her on the phone yesterday and she's just been busy lately. She said that she is starting a new job today and she'll get back to me about when she can see us next."
"I can't wait! She is the best Jake!"
"I thought I was the best..."
"You are.... but so is she."
"Attention everyone." Holt said, coming into the briefing room. "I have an announcement."
"Wait, wait!" Jake said. "Don't tell us yet. Everyone, take a guess!"
"You and Kevin are inviting us to one of your dinner parties?" Amy asked.
"No Santiago." Holt said. "Do you remember what happened last time?"
"Yep......never mind, not that."
"Are you giving us all extra vacation time or something?" Jake asked. "Extra vacation time would be great." Terry added. "I would love a bit of extra time to spend with Sharon and the girls."
"No, not that either." Holt sighed. "How about I just tell everyone what it is, hm?"
"Yes, please!" Jake all but yelled, now on the edge of his seat.
"We're getting a new detective today." Holt announced. "She is not from around here."
"Hopefully this new detective isn't like Amy......" Gina said. "Hey what's so bad about me?" Amy asked. "Well, we don't need another detective to continuously colour code all the files. If anything we need another Rosa around here." Rosa smirked at the comment. "Well, I have a strong feeling that all of you will like this detective." Holt said. "Care to come in here, Detective Peralta?" Everyone was confused when Holt called for the detective to come into the room, everyone that is except Rosa, who knew exactly who would be coming in. Aubrey walked into the room, a smile across her face. "Aubrey?" Jake said, completely shocked. "That's the name." Aubrey smirked. "So you're like working here now?" Amy asked. "Yeah. Transferred this morning." Aubrey chuckled. "How come you never told us you're a detective?" Charles queried. "No one asked me so I didn't tell. Except Diaz, I told Diaz." Aubrey said, crossing her arms. "Wait so I told all my cool cop stories to a fellow cop?" Jake asked. "Yeah, that's how I ended up telling Rosa. I was laughing about you telling cop stories while I could relate more than you knew." Aubrey smiled. "Shall we start the briefing now?" Holt suggested. "One more thing Captain. I know you would usually prank the new girl, especially you Jake, but if anyone pranks me I will slit your throats." Aubrey deadpanned before smiling again moments later causing the room to collectively shiver. "I think we've got our new Rosa."
