Aubrey POV

I took a deep breath and exited the stall when I heard another person enter the bathroom. God why'd this girl have to be so goddamn hot. "Hey, you uh wouldn't happen to have a tampon would you?" I asked, fidgeting with my hands. "I think I have one in my purse." The girl replied. "I could go grab it for you." She gestured towards the door. "Please." I said. The girl left bathroom, reappearing moments later with the familiar object up her sleeve. "Thank you so much. You're a life saver." I laughed, turning to go back into the stall, not missing the blush that crept over the woman's cheeks.
A hot minute later I opened the stall door and walked over to the sinks, washing my hands and noticing the woman was still there. I looked over at the other woman, who looked rather uncomfortable. "Hey, are you alright?" I asked, wiping my hands on my jeans. "Yeah. I'm fine. My friend's meeting his sister today and he gets pretty loud when he's excited. I hope to god his sister isn't like him. I don't think I could handle two of him." The woman mumbled refusing to meet my eyes. I chuckled lightly. "Is your friend Jake Peralta by any chance?" I queried. "Yeah actually." She replied, finally looking up and meeting my gaze. "Aubrey Peralta nice to meet you." I laughed, holding out my hand for her to shake. "Rosa Diaz. I think I can safely say you're nothing like Jake." Rosa giggled, accepting the handshake.

Third POV

Aubrey and Rosa vacated the bathroom together. Rosa pointed out Jake among the crowd before going over to the bar. "Hi- uh um are you Jake Peralta?" Aubrey mumbled out pretty quickly. "Yeah?" Jake replied, looking kinda confused. "I'm Aubrey." Aubrey replied with a slight chuckle. "Oh my god. It's so great to finally meet you." Jake laughed, pulling Aubrey in for a hug. They both meant for it to be a quick hug, the kind you usually do when greeting someone but it lasted longer than that. The two instantly found comfort in each other when they hugged and it made them feel as though they had known each other for their whole lives. "It's uh- it's nice to meet you." Jake said as the hug ended, a large smile on his face. "Likewise." Aubrey replied, a small smirk also creeping onto her face. "This is the Nine-Nine." Jake smiled gesturing to the group of people around them. "Yep, we're with the NYPD. Kinda a big deal. Best detective right here." Jake said pointing at himself. "And not a slight bit cocky, I see." Aubrey smirked, crossing her arms. "This is my wife, Amy Santiago." Jake introduced the woman beside him. "It's very nice to meet you Aubrey." Amy smiled shaking Aubrey's hand. "This is Charles." A small man who was holding his hands behind his back and looking far too excited approached Aubrey. "I'm Jake's best friend." He said smiling widely. Aubrey simply nodded in response. "This is Terry and Captain Holt." Jake gestured to two men who were standing a little away from the group. One was rather muscular and the other looked very strait-laced and had an air of importance about him. Both nodded to Aubrey. "I'm Gina Linetti. Human form of the one hundred emoji." Another woman introduced herself. "Now, you're a good looking girl. You look nothing like Jake. Should be easy to set you up with someone." She continued holding Aubrey's face. "Yeah that's Gina. We've been friends since we were kids. She's a bit full on but she means well." Jake whispered to Aubrey. "Umm thanks? But I'm not looking for a relationship right now." Aubrey said removing Gina's hands from her face.

Around two hours later, after many drinks and listening to Jake tell cop stories as if they were gospel, Aubrey found herself walking over to the bar where Rosa was still sitting. "Hey." Aubrey said as she sat next to the ravenette. Rosa nodded in response. "You were right. I don't think anyone could handle two Jake's. He seems like a good guy, a little over the top but a good guy." Aubrey chuckled ordering another glass of cheap whiskey. "Yeah. He's a nice guy. A little full of himself at times but he always means well." Rosa replied taking a sip from her drink. "He's told me many cop stories, not that I haven't heard them before." Aubrey said. "He's told you cop stories before?" Rosa asked. "No. I'm a detective. Anything he's told me I've probably had a case similar to it." Aubrey laughed. "Oh cool. What precinct?"
"Three-Three. It doesn't sound as cool as Nine-Nine but there's good cops there." Rosa hummed in response. The pair spent the rest of their time together in silence. It wasn't awkward or uncomfortable but rather pleasant where neither of the two girls felt obligated to say anything at all.

"I'll see you again some time soon right? I mean you have to come over and watch the rest of the Die Hard movies right?" Jake gushed only slurring slightly as they said their goodbyes at the end of the night. "Yes. You have my number, just text me a time and place and I'll try make it there." Aubrey laughed.
One by one the members of the Nine-Nine said goodbye to Aubrey until it was just Rosa who remained. "It was nice to meet you Aubrey." Rosa said rubbing the back of her neck awkwardly. "It was nice to meet you too. Oh and you can call me Bri. Makes it easier than calling me Aubrey every time." Aubrey smiled at the other girl. "Ca- can I get your number?" Rosa asked shyly. "Sure." Rosa handed Aubrey her phone and Aubrey typed in her number. "Use it wisely Diaz." Aubrey chuckled as she hailed and cab and got in. "I will." Rosa giggled, a wide smile across her face. God what was this girl doing to her.

Thanks for 2k reads!
This is an old version of Aubrey's personality but I really like this oc so I'm gonna post the two parts of the meeting the squad chapters and make a book with this oc.
