Ari was a boy with a thick head of black hue. He was average height and pretty skinny. He only had a few friends at school and wasn't very popular.
They thought he was weird because of his quirk, something that would soon lead him down a path of heroism.
He walked to school with his headphones on, listening to his favorite song; Make My Story. It wasn't a particularly good day for him. He had fallen down the stair case rushing around the house, dropped his bowl of cereal, and scraped his knee on the side walk. Plus he got a stain on his black school uniform.
He tried to remain positive that this would be a good day for him though. His friend Kyomi always told him he should be more positive. That was easy for her to say, as she had the most radiant personality imaginable and could even find something positive about someone dying.
Ari was going to be late, so he picked up the pace a little, rushing down the sidewalk and crossing the street, passing stores in a rush. He didn't go to fast though, or atleast not as fast as he could truly go. His quirk is called insect, and he has the abilities of various insects, one of which is an ant.
He could go so much faster using his enhanced speed, but there were other people and quirk use is forbidden in public areas....unless he went somewhere less public. Ari ducked behind an alleyway, and then jumped onto a wall. He stuck like glue, and quickly crawled his way up the wall just like an ant scurrying about on a table. Once at the top Ari hoisted himself up over the ledge and stood on the roof of the building.
Ari took a deep breath, knowing that if he was caught he could get into serious trouble. But that was IF he got caught. He took a running start and jumped off the building, feeling the wind rush through his thick black hair. He had never done this before. This must be what a grasshopper feels like, he thought.
Kids at school made fun of him for having the powers of an insect. If only they could see him now. Suddenly a bird flew in front of him and smashed into his face. Ari cried out in shock. He was so shocked he didn't realize he was and that the building in front of him was coming under his feet. He tumbled onto the hard roof and rolled, falling off the building and landing in a dumpster. The dumpster lid slammed shut above him. Maybe it's a good thing the kids at school couldn't see him now.
