(The Red Death is an anti hero that was created by a good friend of mine, KJTheRedDeath to be used in this story. He has a pretty good My Hero Academia fan fiction that I've been helping him out with.)

Ari went to school the next week, and he was so tired he fell asleep at least sixteen times. No one cared enough to ask questions, except for Kyomi of course. He lied to her and said that he couldn't sleep the night before because he had ate a bunch of sugar.
The truth is, he confronted the gangsters as he was originally going to do before being interrupted by a curtain speedster, who was oddly missing from school.
Ari snuck around the mechanic shop, but knocked over a soda can. All eyes turned towards him and everyone pointed a gun at his head. "There's a reasonable explanation for why I'm lurking around this parking lot in the dead of night wearing a ski mask and a red hoodie." Ari started.
He didn't finish though, because the gangsters had itchy trigger fingers and opened fire. He threw some low quality acid (basically glue) at some people's faces, kicked some guys in the chest, dodged some punches and threw some of his own.
Ari was actually doing a pretty good job at fighting. At one point he jumped high in the air and landed on one guy, his feet slamming the guys chest and pushing him into the ground. Then he picked up that guy and threw him at someone else.
The trouble came in when some of the criminals started using their quirks. One guy who wore a white hoodie with black dots and orange accents unleashed a wave of concussive force that knocked Ari off his feet and threw him several feet away.
He got up quickly though, and handled the man in the hoodie with relative ease. With the wave of adrenaline and his quirk he knocked out all of the bad guys and called the cops, pretending to be a bystander who witnessed illegal activity. He also stole some money he found in their pockets. They were going to jail so they didn't need it.
He noticed that most of them were wearing the same jackets that those three guys near his house had. So he knew that he was on the right track to figuring this whole thing out.
In the next two days he'd follow the same routine: infiltrate their hideout, incapacitate the criminals, call the cops, destroy any drugs he found, maybe take some of the cash, and then leave. He tried to question a couple of people but each time they laughed and just spit in his face, and by then the cops were gonna show up so he'd have to bail.
Ari was received when school was finally over. He went with Kyomi to a large shopping center, along with some of her friends that he didn't know too well. Ari didn't mind, he was just happy to be out with his friend and not having to worry about gangsters and guns for the time being.
He didn't realize how hard crime fighting would be. But he figured he'd have to get used to it if he wanted to be a pro hero someday. Kyomi's friends went to go look at something, leaving her alone with Ari. They went to go look at shoes together.
"I think it's about time you got rid of those grey sneakers you're in love with." Kyomi said, giggling. "No way. These are awesome. And they match my outfit." Kyomi just stared blankly. "Gray matches everything. It's the most bland color out there." Ari was kind of hurt that his friend didn't approve of his wardrobe choices.
"Come on, they go great with this blue long sleeve. And my shorts." Kyomi started giggling. "Whatever you say Gray." She walked a few feet away to go look at something, and a pair of shoes caught Ari's eye. They were bright red studded sneakers.
He loved them immediately. He was starting to wear out his red high tops from his nightly escapades. He found some in his size and purchased them, telling Kyomi he'd use them as "running shoes".
Before they left the shopping center he also bought a new red hoodie to wear for his vigilante suit. It was completely red but had a camo pattern. Ari thought it was awesome.
At home, Ari stood in his bedroom wearing what he called H-Suit 2.0. He got a tactical ski mask from his dad. It was a normal black ski mask like the one he already had but it also had this red mouth piece attached to it. He wasn't really sure why his dad had it, but Ari didn't question it.
Regardless, he thought he looked pretty dope. As he had been doing for the past week, he waited until it was midnight and then snuck out of the house. He hopped across rooftops and soared through the air each time. Eventually he had come to the same construction site as he did on his first outing.
He had a hunch that there was more going on their than just what he saw. Especially after what happened, he knew they would probably be on high alert.
Ari landed on a building close to the site, a store that he had gone to before, and then hopped down to the side wall. Ari put his hoodie up as he crossed the street and entered the construction site. As he got closer he heard gun fire and screams.
Startled, he ran full speed to where he heard the sounds. He ran through red metal support beams and crates. Climbing on things and running up inclines. Eventually he came to a stop in front of a dead body. It was a bald man, still holding his gun. His eyes were wide open in terror, his head was lying in a pool of his own blood. He had seven bullet holes in his chest.
Ari almost threw up, and had to turn away from the body while he tried to calm down his stomach. He had been afraid of these guys when they were alive, they had shot at him and he could've been killed. But now that he one of their corpses it was even more scary. Whatever killed that guy must be even worse.
Ari went up another incline and saw more bodies, strewn on the everywhere with blood also everywhere. There was one dude that was still alive, and shooting at something that Ari couldn't see. The man was pulled behind a support beam and Ari couldn't see what happened next but he did see the lifeless body drop to the ground.
Two guys snuck up behind Ari, yelling at him while holding their guns up. Ari turned around and put his hands up. They couldn't even get another word out before gunshots riddled one of their chests, and the the second guy was knocked out by a fist colliding with the back of his head.
Standing over the two was a man Ari had seen before. He wore a black body suit with red on the sides of chest, covering his rib cage. His mask was completely black and covered his entire face. It had intimidating red eyes.
Ari had seen this man on the news. He always thought this guy was the coolest because of the violent way he dealt with criminals. Ari recognized him instantly. He was standing in front of the Red Death.
