After my little visit with Jackson, I decided to head over to Starbucks. Don't judge me! I love my coffee.
I walked up to the cashier while running a hand through my hair. I smiled weakly at the girl across the counter which she returned. "Long day, huh?" she asked. I sighed, nodded, and replied, "All I want at the end of it is a mocha frappuccino."
She laughed and said, "That's my favorite, too." She tucked her blond hair behind her ear before saying, "That'll be $5.95." I handed her my credit card which she swiped quickly.
I shuffled over to the counter where they gave you your drinks and laid my head down.
Man, Jackson is an asshole.
"Hey," a voice said. I lifted my head up tiredly. The girl at the counter was there. "I, uh, forgot to get a name for your order," she said nervously while pushing her black rimmed glasses up her nose. "My name's Ana," I told her while setting my forehead back on the cool counter.
I lay there for a couple of minutes until the cashier called out, "Mocha frappe for Ana!" "I'm up!" I exclaimed, shooting up from my little nap. "Oh, good. I thought you were dead," the cashier laughed.
I laughed with her as she handed me my drink. "Thanks," I glanced down at her name tag, "Leia." "No problemo," she singsonged.
I turned around coffee in hand, about to head over to a table when someone bumped into me.
Their drink spilled all over the front of my shirt. It. Was. So. Hot. The coffee clung to my shirt and I gasped. I guess it was freshly made since it was scalding hot. It was like the bottom of a laptop after you've used it for a while.
"Oops," a snobby voice said. I glared into the face of none other than Lila. She peered into her cup and frowned. "Looks like I didn't get all of it out," she spat in her high-pitched voice as she poured the rest on top of my head.
My jaw dropped as the coffee burned my head and chest. Lila just gave me that innocent look.
Meanwhile, Leia was sauntering over here with a not-to-happy look on her face. To my surprise, Leia came up and full on smacked Lila in the face.
"You are banned from Starbucks, sorry," she spat. Lila tried to slap her back, but I caught her hand and smacked her myself.
Lila gave Leia and I death glares as she sashayed out of the building.
"Nice," I laughed as I high-fived Leia. "Not too bad yourself," she complimented. Then, she handed me some napkins and the two of us worked on cleaning me up.
While we were doing that, I decided to tell her my life story. "Ooh, that sucks," she said. "Way to sugarcoat it," I told her sarcastically.
"Sorry," she apologized. "Don't worry. It's the truth," I stated. "That girl is Jackson's girlfriend by the way," I told her.
"Do you want to know something else truthful?" she asked, smirking. I nodded, urging her to tell me. "Bitches suck."
