Ding! Dong! The doorbell rang throughout the house and I groaned. Who the hell would be at my house this early? I glanced at my alarm clock. 1:30 p.m. Damn.
I dragged myself out of bed and trudged down the stairs, wiping drool off the corner of my lips. The doorbell rang again. "I'm coming!" I snapped.
I threw the door open, preparing myself to yell at this horrible person. "You little-" I started. My eyes landed on none other than Leia, the girl from Starbucks, standing at my doorstep.
"Leia? What are you doing here?" I asked. "Ana? I came here to pick up my sister, Raven's, beanie," she laughed.
"What a coincidence," I laughed. "Come on in." She smiled and stepped into my house. "I'll go get the beanie," I told her as I scaled the stairs.
I entered my room, snatched the beanie off my couch, and rushed back downstairs. "Here," I said, holding out Raven's beanie to her. "Thanks," Leia told me.
Then, the doorbell rang once again. I sighed and rubbed the sleep out of my eyes. "What now?" I groaned as I turned the nob to the front door.
Four guys charged through me door. Jesse paced the room nervously while running his hand through his dark brown hair. "What do you guys want?" I snapped.
"Jesse's scored a date with Raven later today," Adam told me with a smirk on his face. Jesse continued to pace nervously with Jason trying to soothe him.
"And why are you here exactly?" I sighed grumpily. "We decided he needed some advice," Adam informed. "Fine, whatever," I grumbled. "Hey, look behind you," Jason whispered in my ear.
I turned around to see Leia and Ash chatting it up. I caught something about Superman. Aw, a nerd couple.
"Ana, you need to help me!" Jesse begged, gripping my shoulders. "Okay, I will," I told him, prying his hands off my shoulders.
"Well, I got to go," Leia said from behind us. "Thanks for the beanie, Ana! Also, nice meeting you, Ash!" she called while walking through the door.
"Wait a second!" Ash called to Leia. She paused while Ash whispered something inaudible into her ear. She nodded her head before leaving.
"What was that about?" I asked. "We're going to spy on Jesse on his date," Ash chuckled softly. "I invited her to come." I nodded my head in understanding.
"Ugh! What am I going to do?" Jesse shouted as he continued to pace my living room. I gripped Jesse's forearm and spun him to face me. "Calm down. All your pacing is giving me a headache," I commanded.
Jesse let out a long sigh while running a hand through his tousled dark brown hair. "I just don't know what to do," he sighed with worry clear in his sea-green eyes.
"I have an idea," I told him as I pulled him down to sit on the couch next to me. "What is it?" he asked while shaking my shoulders. "I'll tell you if you would stop shaking me!" I yelled while prying his hands off my shoulders.
"Sorry," he muttered sheepishly. I laughed at how worried he was about this. He must really like Raven.
"Just take her to get ice cream at the mall," I told Jesse. His eyes widened and he nodded vigorously. "Awesome! But what about afterwards?" he asked.
"Just go window shopping," Adam added. I shot him a "thank you" look and Adam nodded in response.
"What do I wear?" Jesse asked. I looked him up and down. Jesse was wearing black skinny jeans with a navy, plaid, and button-up shirt with the sleeves folded to his elbows. Black vans were on his feet.
I furrowed my eyebrows as I thought. "Wait here," I told the boys as I headed to my room.
I dug through my closet in search of the missing puzzle piece to Jesse's outfit. I let out a sigh of relief as I found it.
I rushed back downstairs to find all the boys, except Jesse, on the couch. I placed the black slouchy beanie on Jesse's head and smiled. "There. You're ready."
