"Are you sure?" Jesse asked. I nodded my head and smiled. "Thank you," he breathed while embracing me gratefully. "No problem, Jesse. You're like a brother to me," I told him.
He smirked and poked my cheek. "I better get going if I don't want to be late," Jesse stated as he grabbed his keys. "Bye, sister from another mister!" Jesse called. "Bye, brother from another mother!" I called back as he closed the door behind him.
"Wow, he doesn't say bye to us," Jason muttered. I laughed and stated, "He loves me more." Jason mocked gasped and placed a hand over his heart. "That is not true!" he exclaimed.
"Whatever you say, buddy," I smirked. He glared and poked my stomach, causing me to giggle. "Oh, ticklish are we?" he asked with a smug look on his face.
"No," I lied, but he saw right through me. "Are you sure he asked as he poked me again. I held my breath, trying to stifle my giggles. I put on a serious face and looked Jason straight in the eye.
"I think you are," he told me as he began to tickle me. I couldn't contain my laughter as his fingers danced across my stomach. "Stop! Please, stop!" I squealed through laughter as I struggled to get away.
"As adorable as this is, we have to get going if we're going to pick up Leia and spy on Jesse and Raven," Ash interrupted. "Go get dressed, Ana." I slipped away from Jason and told Ash, "Yes, Dad," as I trudged to my bedroom.
I put on a pair of white shorts and a gray, over-the-shoulder shirt with some black, lace-up boots that go about three inches above my ankle.
"Okay, I'm ready to spy," I stated as I walked downstairs and grabbed my keys. The four of us piled into my car with me driving, Jason riding shotgun, and Ash and Adam in the back.
"Houston, we have a problem," I said as I pulled out of the drive way. "What is it?" Ash asked. "Where do Leia and Raven live?" I asked. "Don't worry. Leia texted me her address," he told me.
I raised my eyebrows as I told him, "I can see it now, 'Comic Couple.'" I saw Ash blush through the rear view mirror and I laughed.
* * *I leaned over the steering wheel, peering two cars ahead of us at Jesse's car. He was fiddling with the radio while Raven was chatting with him from the passenger's seat.
"Hurry up! We're going to lose him!" Ash hissed from the backseat between Leia and Adam. "She's hanging back so we're not seen," Leia told him. A look of realization dawned on him. "Oh, yeah," he muttered.
I smiled as I turned the corner and entered the mall parking lot. Jesse pulled into a lot and I drove past him, keeping my head low.
"Don't lose them," I told the four other people in my car as I looked for a spot away from Jesse and Raven.
I pulled into an empty spot and unbuckled while putting the car into park. We piled out of the car.
"They're over there!" Adam told the group and I spotted them walking side by side through the mall doors.
"Hurry!" I gasped as we began to jog towards the doors. We burst through the doors, strangers staring at us oddly. "Where'd they go?" Leia asked. "That is an excellent question," I told her as my eyes scanned the crowds.
"Over there!" Jason pointed out, tapping my shoulder. My eyes landed on the couple's backs and I began to speed walk towards them.
"We've got to split up," I told the guys and Leia, not taking my eyes off Jesse and Raven. "Why?" Adam asked from my left.
"A bigger group attracts more attention," I told him. "So, Ash and Leia, you two go off in another direction and Adam, Jason, and I will keep going this way," I ordered. The Comic Couple nodded and went their separate way.
