I rushed out of the room with everyone's eyes on me. I ran through the hallways dodging people, most of them nurses yelling at me to stop. I heard Sabrina and Nate following me and calling out.
A strong hand gripped my forearm and spun me around to face them. Dark green eyes locked with mine. I attempted to wiggle out of Nate's grasp. Sadly, he kept a firm grip.
"Maybe we should take you home," he whispered as Sabrina came up behind us. I nodded my head as tears silently slipped down my cheeks. Sabrina slung her arm over her shoulders as we began to walk towards the parking lot.

I was about to open the driver's side door when Sabrina beat me to it. "Maybe I should drive," she suggested. "Okay," I croaked. I climbed into the passenger's seat and laid my head on the window.Sabrina pulled out of the parking lot of the hospital with Nate following in his own car behind us.

We parked behind Sabrina's neon green jeep. I jumped out of my car, hurried to unlock the front door, and rushed upstairs to my bathroom to take a shower.I stripped my clothes off and stepped into the warm water. After I finished showering, I pulled on some black leggings, a plain white t-shirt, a gray beanie, and lastly, one of Kane's flannels.
I walked into the kitchen and saw Nate making pancakes and Sabrina making coffee with my Connor Franta mug that read, "But first, coffee"
I sat on a stool and laid my head on the counter. No words were spoken as Sabrina set my coffee next to me and Nate placed pancakes in front of me.
*Six months later*
Today was July 14. It was his birthday. I was currently on my phone texting Sabrina.
Sabrina: How r u?
Me: Ok
Sabrina: Nate and I r coming over.
Me: Ok
Sabrina: Ana?
Me: Yeah?
Sabrina: He's going 2 b ok.
Me: Ok.I tossed my phone aside and picked up my guitar and began to strum a few chords. Next thing you know, I was singing Amnesia by 5 Seconds of Summer which seemed to be the only song I listened to for the past six months.
"Cuz I'm really not fine at all," I sang as I strummed the last tune. Clapping and whistling rang throughout the living room. "Thanks guys. I didn't even hear you come in," I laughed.
"That was amazing," a voice that was neither Nate's or Sabrina's said. I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion and turned around. Standing there was the boy I loved wearing his favorite hat staring at me.
I gasped, ran to him, jumped up, and wrapped my legs around his torso in a bone-crushing hug. "Well, someone's a hugger," Kane chuckled. I laughed as he put me down. Tears of joy streamed down my face.
He held his hand out to me as he said, "I'm Kane." "I know that!" I laughed. Nate came up behind Kane and gave him a cake. "Happy birthday."
"Ana," Sabrina whispered, "he has amnesia. He only remembers up to junior year."
My joyous tears turned into miserable ones as I messed with the hem of my shirt. Kane finally wakes up and he doesn't remember me. Great.
