HIM THEY CALL THE CRUEL KING (Completed)

The guy who pulled D away from the path feels concerned to her and asks, "are you alright?" His voice sweet and calming that D wonders who he is. She thanks him and moves her sight towards Da Won, who is frightened.

"I'm sorry. I couldn't judge what to do, my body didn't listen to my commands." She apologizes.

Da Won nods and the guy held my wrist with a soft touch. They took me away from people towards a place where there's nobody to see or hear us. Da Won stepped forward and introduced him to me.

"This is Park Ji Min. My friend."

I greeted him with a bow and he did the same with a cute little smile that melted my heart for an instant. He looked at me as if he knew me and asked, "You are from South. Aren't you?"

I looked shockingly at him but his smile still remained same on his face. It didn't widen nor escaped. I exchanged my gaze with Da Won's, thinking if she had told him, but then he himself cleared it. I'm from South too. I'm here to find my cousin." He said.

"Aah." I sighed. "What a relief." I muttered.

"Relief?" Da Won quickly raised my remark. Ji Min too looked confused.

"I mean, it's a relief that you didn't tell anybody. If you did, then there will be a fear of third person to hear this. That's what I mean." I said faking a little laugh.

Da Won looks at me with a doubtful sight, but didn't utter a word further.

"So, you are a visitor here?" Ji Min asked.

I nodded.

It was later when Da Won said this to Ji Min that lead to an argument.

"Ji Min! Do you know anyone who knows about the history of the kingdom? The hidden secrets?"

He looked at me suspiciously and then faced her again. "I don't know any such, but there's one possibility to know." He said.

D moved bit forward and listened carefully to him.

"You have to ask Kim Tae Hyung." He said looking at me. His smile disappeared and formed a smirk.

D nodded happily. Looking into D's expression, Da Won started to rant. "What are you talking? And you D, you don't have to be that happy. Do you know who Kim Tae Hyung is?"

D shuts her smile. "Who is he?" She asks with a mixed feeling.

"He is the one who helped Min Yoon Gi to own the throne. He is King's only cousin who is alive." He said.

"But Ji Min, she can't go and ask him." Da Won Suggested.

"If she wants, she will do it. Isn't it? City Da Won?" He asked.

"Yes" D responded. "If he is the only one to answer me, then I will go ask him. Doesn't matter of he is King's cousin."

Da Won looks disappointedly at D. "What are you talking?"

D ignores Da Won and asks, "where can I find him?"

Ji Min jumps off from the rock he had been seated, moves towards D and says, "in the palace. Somewhere with the King." He giggles.

"In the palace? Are you kidding me? Do you wish me to die?" D pissingly questions him. He didn't stop laughing. In return, D walks away disappointedly.

"When you know she will not do such things, why did you say that?" Da Won questions him.

"Who said she wouldn't do? She will do it." He says sounding confident.

Da Won looks at him strangely as if she understood something. "Are you trying to do this for your benefit I won't allow her to do this."

"Da Won ah, she is a foreigner who came here with some intention. She wouldn't last for long." He says

"What do you mean she is here with different intention? She is a visitor. I have asked it myself." Da Won says.

"Really? She is lying. Why would she want to know about the kingdom so deeply?" Ji Min tries to persuade her with his words.

"No, she isn't. You are fooling me. Don't try to fill my mind with negative thoughts about her. If in case you find someone else who knows well about the kingdom and its secrets, then let me know. Until then, you don't come to me." Da Won says so and leaves.

A bit away from the scene, D waits for Da Won to return. As Da Won comes back D questions this to her.
"Did you both fight? Because of me?"

Da Won doesn't answer and gives her a piece of advice. "Do not try asking help from Kim Tae Hyung. We don't know how bad he is. Since he is the one who supports the King. I'm sure he had developed bad personality."

D doesn't gives her a word but just nods, which means she isn't completely agreeing to her.

"And also Da Won ah. Don't tell your brother Ho Seok about what happened today. He will be way too worried." D says.

"There's nothing serious about today. This happens to me as well." Da Won says.

"Pardon me. What did you say?" Asks D confusingly.

Da Won tries to shrug it off with a little laugh and says. " Nothing. There's nothing you should be hiding from him. it's all fine. You don't have to worry about this."

D gives a faint smile in return and starts to sound a bit serious. "Will the King take me along with him, if he sees me next time?" She asked.

"Why do you ask something like that? I'm sure he barely saw you or if he was seeing something else in your direction. The King is someone who doesn't worry about little things like this." Da Won says.

"LITTLE THINGS?" He almost had me crush with his horse and you say, it is a little thing?" D yells.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I didn't tell it under my vision. It's what the king will think." Da Won says.

The two of them walk back to their house before the noon lasted.
