Once the moon rises, the three of them step out of the inn and ride towards the palace secretly. Everybody had stick onto the plan Yoon Ji had made and according to it, D and Da Won had nothing to do but stay in the inn with Hoseok's mother.

D couldn't fall asleep. Her mind was engaged with thoughts of saving Seokjin somehow by herself. She has a sword now for protection and all she got to do is sneak into the palace through the back exit which Jimin had used before. She remembers the path a bit and it wouldn't be a problem to find it on the spot.

She waits until Da Won and her mother falls asleep and then sneaks out without making any noise. She carries the sword and slides Da Won's old bag across her chest to keep her phone tagged along with her in her journey.

The night's too cold and dark, D lights a lantern and proceeds. On her way deep in the forest, like the last time, she hears some sound coming from somewhere behind her. She could also hear a river flow nearby.

"A river? I didn't see it last time. Does this means that I'm lost? This is ridiculous. How can I?"

She walks back few steps and takes a different turn and ends up with a river. "I'm definitely lost deep in the forest. Now what?" She sighs.

As she turns to the other side, she bumps into someone right in front of her in the dark with the lantern light flashing onto that person's face.

She loses her grip over the ground and slips down rolling down towards the very end of the cliff. Deep down the cliff flowed the river.

D thought that she had fallen down, but then she finds herself hanging at the edge of the cliff. Her clothes were ripped on some parts and she had got few cuts on her skin which were bleeding.

Her heart beat raised due to panic attack and she could hardly say anything.

"Okay, okay. I'm still alive. Thanks to whatever's holding me on." She huffed hardly.

As she looks up to what was holding her still, she frightens again.

It was the King whom D bumped into and his sudden appearance in the dark in a lonely forest scared her so much that she lost her grip from the ground and rolled down towards the end of the cliff.

He could see that fear in her eyes, but he still held her tight as if she is a part of his living.

D didn't knew how to react and tries to let go of his hand. Even if she survived, the king would keep her with him and might never get a chance to go back to her hometown. But dying in this way was not the right thing too.

"Let go of me." She yelled finally as she realized he wouldn't let go of her.

The King surprisingly looks at her. To him, she was the only person to choose death over living. He doesn't mind her but tries to pull her up with all his energy. D on other side tries hard to let go of his hand. Once the king gets fed up with her action, he lets go of her hand.

That very moment D thought how cruel he is. Even though she wanted to let go of his hand, she still somehow wanted to survive, if possible not being carried by the King.

But this wasn't it. The king was quick enough to hold her hand again. He grinned and asked, "how did the death feel like? Awesome? Wanna try again?"

D's sight filled with tears out of fear of both death and the King, but in no time her visions started to fade.

The King stared at her grinning, but soon she collapsed right there hanging at the edge of the cliff. The King had felt some soft feeling towards her. He pulls her up and carries her on his arms to the palace.
