"Carrie!" Lenny ran to her side. "Are you okay?"
Carrie brushed her hair out of her eyes. "No thanks to you losers!" She turned to focus on Lenny. "You just had to try and start something didn't you!"
Lenny grumbled, "I didn't start anything!"
"Don't you dare lie to me, Leonard Micheal Snart!"
Lenny hung his head. "D-Don't call me that!"
Natalie watched as Jeremy try to blend into the background, but Carrie must have spotted him.
"And you!" Carrie growled as Jeremy tried to shrink behind the two now awake and very confused vampiric slaves. "I can see you Count Whack-ula! Don't you try to hide from me! You and I need to have a little chat!" Carrie turned and tried to slide off the table, but slipped as her feet hit the floor.
Natalie was at her side in an instant to catch her. "Whoa... Careful Carrie. You need to save your energy."
Carrie grumbled as Natalie picked her up and laid her back down on the table. "I'm so hungry..."
Natalie smiled and gave her a pat on the shoulder. "I know. I can imagine, after the day you've had. We can find you something to eat, okay?"
Carrie shot a glare at Jeremy, "And then I can deal with the boys?"
Natalie chuckled, "And then you can deal with the boys. Just close your eyes. Try to get some rest."
Carrie grumbled and let her eyes slowly shut, turning onto her side.
"Is she okay?" She jumped and whirled around. The fox and the human must have come up behind her while she was helping Carrie sleep.
"YAY!" Kolby clapped excitedly. "My first jumpscare!"
Robin nudged him. "He meant to say he's sorry."
Natalie regained her composure. "She'll be fine. She just needs a whole lot of food."
"How much food are you talking, here? Like two heaping plates full? Or an entire buffet?"
Natalie looked over at Carrie, "I'm not sure. Probably closer to the second one."
Robin shrugged, "Either way, you should go see Jackson. He can whip up something for her."
"Jackson?"
Kolby grinned, "Our resident chef!"
Natalie bit her lip. "Does he have enough to feed a speedster?"
Kolby glanced at Robin, "Umm... Hypothetically? We've never met a speedster before today."
"But then again, we've also never met someone he couldn't feed."
Natalie chuckled, "I guess I could go check it out."
She scanned the room to see what her friends were doing. Jeremy was crouched in the corner of the room, trying his best to interact with the others. Vincent, Colleen, and Lenny were sitting together on one of the tables watching Jeremy.
Natalie turned back to Robin and Kolby. "Could you guys show me where to go?"
"I can!" Cason slid off his table and stumbled towards her. "I wanted to see him anyway. He might have a bone I can chew on!"
Natalie raised an eyebrow at him.
Cason stuck out his tongue at her. "What are you looking at? I'm a dog! What do you expect me to do in my spare time? Play poker?"
Kolby chuckled, "Cason sucks at Poker."
"Regardless!" He nudged the fox only to illicit a snarl. Cason slowly turned his head to stare at Kolby, "I'm sorry! What the hell?"
Robin rolled her eyes. "Sorry. He got bit by tall, dark, and anxious over there and he thinks he's a vampire."
Cason laughed, "Oh! Now that whole exchange before makes more sense! I thought the drugs might have been messing with my head again." He tripped and almost fell on the floor.
Natalie caught him and helped support him so he could stand on his feet. "Maybe you should stay here and get some more rest."
Cason waved his hand at her. "No way. Something cool might happen and I don't want to miss it. Plus. I want a bone."
Natalie shook her head and sighed, "So what? You want me to carry you there?"
Cason grumbled, "No! There's a wheelchair in the corner there." He pointed to the corner of the room where a lone wheelchair sat.
Kolby ran over to get it for him. "Coming right up Doc Ock!"
Robin groaned, "Doc Ock wasn't the one in the wheelchair, doofus."
Kolby stopped in his tracks. "He's not?"
Cason laughed, "And you call yourself a geek! Shame on you!"
Natalie raised her eyebrows but didn't say anything. These three loved throwing pop culture references around. She just wished she could understand them all. She helped Cason into the wheelchair and started to wheel him out of the room.
As she passed Lenny, he got up. "Are you going to get her some food?"
Natalie nodded. "I'd ask you to come with me, but I don't think it would be a good idea to leave them alone with Jeremy."
Lenny grumbled, "Yeah. Sure."
Natalie narrowed her eyes at him. "You better behave yourself. Carrie is not happy with any of this." She wheeled the chair over to the door and nodded for Jeremy to get up and join her. "Come on you."
Jeremy looked up and pointed at himself. Natalie narrowed her eyes and then gestured again. "Don't make me ask again."
He stood up and followed her as she wheeled Cason out of the room with Robin and Kolby in tow.
