Chapter 4

3rd Person POV

8 : 3 5 A M

The next day everyone stayed at home. Why?

They'd all been fired.

Zane and Pixal were fired but Borg still let them live with him. Chen had added Kai, Jay, Cole, Zane, Morro, Nya, Skylor, Pixal, Seliel, Ray, Maya and Lou.

A knock on the door woke Lloyd from his thoughts. Opening it, he saw a neatly dressed man holding a briefcase and a clipboard, "Residency of Lloyd and Misako Garmadon?"

"Y-Yeah..."

"Says here you've been evicted." Lloyd felt his whole world shatter, "Evicted?"

"Appears so. Amoren Chen requires you to be out by tonight. This is non-negotiable." He turned on his heel and walked down the pathway leaving a horror-struck Lloyd. Silently shutting the door, he sunk to the ground, burying his head in his hands.

Crap.

Reaching for his phone, he rung someone he never thought he'd ring.

"Son?"

"Hey..."

"Is everything alright?"

"We've just been evicted."

"What? You too?"

"What do you mean 'you too'?"

"Clouse came by my desk this morning. Said he was the new number 2, and I had to be out by this afternoon. Landlord came by and kicked me out too."

"What do we do?"

"I think this calls for a meeting with everyone against him."

9 : 0 1 A M

By now, everyone had crowded into the Smith's small home. There were panicked voices arising every now and then. Garmadon cleared his throat, "All right. Chen's clearly pissed off at us, and is making our lives literal hell."

"And this is just the start," Maya added on, "Soon, he'll be killing our loved ones. No-one says no to Chen."

"What are you suggesting we do?" Cole asked, "Kill him?"

Lloyd exchanged a glance with his dad. Cole noticed, "You're not actually thinking..."

"One gunshot to the chest. That's all it can take. Chen's dangerous." Morro agreed. Wu looked at his brother, "What if we turn everyone on him by forging an airstrike?"

"We're not killing anyone innocent." Pixal stated firmly, "Just Chen. Only if..." she turned to Skylor, who gave a nod, "He's cost me too much to refer to him as my father. He's dead to me."

Jay put his hands together, "Well that settles it. How are we gonna do this?"

"You mean...how are you gonna do this?" Lou asked, standing up, "I won't involve myself in murder, and neither will my son. Let's go, Cole."

"Dad, Mom hated Chen. Killing him would be doing her a favour-"

"Oh, do not use your mother's death as an excuse for murder!"

Cole jumped up abruptly, "I'm not! If Mom were here right now, she'd suggest the same thing." Lou simply shook his head at Cole, who stood his ground, "Do what you want, dad. But I'm staying."

"Fine." He simply stated, before walking out the door.

"Back to the plan." Cole mumbled, "How are we gonna do it?"

Jay smirked, "Easy. We dress up as giant turtles-"

Kai rolled his eyes, "And that's Jay's plan foiled."
