Miss You More

Chapter 7

"Right," Donnie said as they turned during the formation for Step by Step. They had messed it up the other night on stage, but it was mostly due to Jordan being distracted and missing a step.

Jennifer marched up between them," Jordan!" she said.

"Shit Jen!" Jordan said as he almost ran right into Jon.

"We have to talk... right now..." she said.

"We can talk but not now because this has to look right," Jordan said to her.

"I get that, but here's the thing, I'm going to talk, and you're going to listen, for the next couple minutes," she said. Donnie and the guys backed up a bit, seeing the anger in her eyes.

'Jennifer," he said.

"NO! listen to me, I took my week to COME HERE on tour with you.... you spend one day FUCKING THE SHIT out of me, and now I can even get you to take the time to share your bunk with me, or talk to me, or hell even sit and eat a meal with me.... This is NOT how I want to spend my week, So I demand you make more time for me as JOE does for ANA!!!" she said angrily.

Joe cringed slightly hearing that. 

" Oh so now I'm JOE!" Jordan yelled angrily," I don't care what the fuck he does with Ana! I have a job! I'm not a slob! Do you know how fucking hard it is to balance a day like the ones we have and still be able to magically perform things for your sexual gratification? And maybe if you didn't always fall the fuck asleep, you'd get to spend time with me! I'm not on your time! I'm on paid time!"

Jen was a bit taken aback at his tone, he's NEVER raised his voice to her, ever.

"No, you're not joe... and I'm sorry I'm not used to touring schedules and having to stay up till 1 am to see you....." she said, a bit more gentle now, hoping this would calm him down.

"Well I'm sorry," Jordan said honestly," We run late and that's when I'm available."

"It's so hard Jordan, I'm trying so hard, and I feel like you're not... ana said her and joe take every morning and every night... I barely see you, or talk to you... ill try and stay up later, if you promise to wake me before you leave the bus in the morning, even just to kiss and say goodbye... can we make that deal?" she asked.

"And if we can't?" he asked.

"Then I can't....." she said.

"I think you set the bar too high as a boyfriend," Donnie whispered to Joe. 

"Sorry," Joe mumbled," I just happen to be able to get up early enough knowing Ana has to go to work, and I'd rather talk to her than and than again after the show," he shrugged. 

" So it's your way or no way?" Jordan asked her.

"It's a way to make things OUR way so WE can be together... ill make sacrifices if you will...." she said.

Jordan was silent and didn't seem to have an answer right away. He was so damn tired from all the work obligations and now he was having to make Jennifer one too. 

" What are you sacrificing, your sleep? You can sleep in, you don't have anywhere to be," he mumbled.

"You're right, I don't... because I made the choice to be here with YOU! you are my priority... I want you to know, you're not a job or an obligation, I love you, more than I ever thought I could love anyone, and I am willing to make you a priority if you at least make me feel like you even want me here...." she whimpered.

"Um maybe we should leave them alone," Joe suggested quietly to the others," Screw it if we mess up the formation again."

"No, it's fine, this conversation can wait.... after rehearsals or after the show...." Jordan said. Jen felt her eyes welling up. He was just blowing her off. She just backed away slowly before heading out and leaving him to rehearsals. That did not go how she expected. she was expecting him to kiss her, and apologize and promise to try harder, but he just dismissed her like that.
