Chapter 10

*** Three Weeks Later ~**~

Jordan and Jennifer had made their split official. Anabella had moved to Boston to help take care of Thomas. Joe was getting his house ready to put on the market and move. He was planning to fly out to Boston soon to look at houses there.

Jen to Ana: hey! making a trip to Boston can I swing by to visit?

Ana: Absolutely! Would love to see you girl. Miss you.

Jen: miss you too, I fly in tomorrow. I have an interview at a local law firm there.

Ana : Awesome! I'm still job hunting. I put in applications though. So you're going to move here?

Jen: if I get the job. the pay is good, so hopefully...

Ana : Well I hope that you do. I think you will like it here.

Jen: yeah maybe, but he is still there. it makes me nervous.

Ana : Yeah he is...but I mean he's doing his thing. So. you do yours.

Jen: I don't want to bump into him, it's too soon. it's still pretty painful.

Ana : Then what made you apply for a job where he lives???

Jen: Double the pay I am making in California

Ana : Nice. I'm just an assistant Lol.

Jen: yea well I got to weigh the pros and cons in this instance.

Ana : Well I mean you can't choose your life based on Jordan.

Jen: I know this. I just need to get over this.

Ana : if you need me for anything. I'll be glad to help.

Jen: thanks girly, I will text you when I land tomorrow. : )

Ana : See you than .

Ana put her phone down in time to hear Thomas yelling from his room . 

" Key! Kay! Where are you?" he was yelling. Kay, was Katherine, his ex wife. 

Anabella went into the master bedroom," Thomas...Kay doesn't live here," she said quietly. She had been making sure he took his medicine at the same time, but the beta blocker didn't seem to be helping. Thomas looked directly at Anabella. 

" Kate, tell your mother to go the store. There's no goddamn food in the house!" Thomas said upset. Ana had left a message for Joe this morning worried, she was waiting for him to call her back so she could talk to him about his father. It seemed Thomas was starting to forget things. He kept mistaking her for Kate, his daughter. He also kept asking for his ex-wife.

He seemed very confused. And she was very worried for him.

"There is food. I went shopping, is there something that you would like in particular to eat? you must be hungry," she offered gently going to the bed and taking his hand into hers. There was no recognition on his face of who she was.

"So Kay already went to the store?" he asked, softly.

Ana didn't know what to do, she could only play along. " Yes Kay went to the store. I'm sure Mom brought all your favorites. She knows you well," she said.

"Alright, dinner is good then, I am hungry..." he smiled.

Ana smiled," Okay. I can handle that, you just rest and I'll call you for dinner." She kissed his cheek. She went into the kitchen, feeling very afraid for him. While she was making dinner, her phone rang.
