“The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched — they must be felt with the heart.”

– Helen Keller

                     ***********

So as I was intending drawing the conch on the air with my eyes closed, the class was over and the students were leaving the room. I hoped to catch him in order to convey my thanks, so packed my belongings in real hurry. However,  to my sour luck, he was not there among the crowd of students.

The next class was sparring, which was conducted in the gymnasium. I followed the group of jocks and to my benefit found myself in a great indoor stadium like room. All kinds of supernatural beings were playing or fighting among themselves. Soon, I spotted the short brunette, playing soft ball with few others similiar to look at. They all seemed like fairies.

I reached for her but then a loud shrill sound of a whistle ran throughout the room. A cloud of silence befell and everyone along with me turned to face our apparent coach. He was a bulky man in his thirties and introduced himself as Ares Timbell. Coach Timbell was a werewolf and was very serious about self defense and sparring. He divided all of the sixty of us into groups of two for sparring practice. Thankfully,  I ended up with Felicity.

Now compared to Felicity's short lean self, I was quite tall and fit due to regular exercises and runs in my old school. I was sure I could defeat her.

It was a hand to hand combat. From the corner of my eyes, I could see intense fight sceens in some places. The vampires were doing great due to their superhuman speed. 'I will go easy on you, I promise,' I assured Felicity.

But in a flash, I was on the ground with a severe ache on my back.

To my defence, I did not know then how great warrior's fairies are. Impossibly agile and vigilent, they have great strength on the shoulder muscles. With their wings, they could launch an aerial attack on the enemy.

I was shocked but then laughed at my silly thinking. As if I could have compared to these people who had been training for years. Felicity helped me up-' Are you alright?'' Perfectly fine' I replied.

Our attention soon went to the commotion at the back of the room. Coach Timbell was trying to separate two boys who were at eachothers throats but to no avail. One of them appeared to be Sebastian while the other was one of the jocks. It seemed they had utilized this sparing practice as a mechanism to decide who shall run the football team. Boys will be boys.

Me and Felicity decided to sneak out of the gym and get something to drink. But as I followed her to the exit, something huge crashed against me and I felt a piercing pain on my head, before loosing consciousness.
