❝There is a real magic in enthusiasm. It spells the difference between mediocrity and accomplishment.❞

The rest of the school day passed in haze attending classes of transfiguration, levitation, geometry and poisons. Never once did Taira leave my side. We all were kind of friends now. We all except Rebal who was gloomy throughout the course of the day.

Soon classes were over and the others had a meeting to attend in the library. They wanted to drag me there but Rebal pointed that it was exclusive to the members and I was not welcome.

Promising to find me later, Taira followed the others, leaving me alone for the first time in the last few hours. I sighed in relief. Though they were a great company, I felt like an intruder in their close knit group and Rebal's attitude did not make it any better.

I walked around the school trying to find Felicity or Jeffery. To my luck, I found the water fairy in the indoor swimming room. She made over enthusiastic hand movements on seeing me. ' Myra!! I was waiting for you. Lets go and enroll you in the club.'

Most of the people in the swimming club were water fairies, with few vampires and witches here and there. Werewolves and fire fairies hated water, and they never stepped in there.

The club instructor was a bubly woman in her late twenties, most probably a water fairy. She asked me about my health and whether I could swim or not.

My father taught me to swim when I was five. I enjoyed it for swimming reminded me of the times I had spent with my mom and dad in the community swimming pool. We were together and happy.

The instructor also provided me with swim suits and gears to change into.

And for the first time I saw Felicity using her powers. She created whirlpools and waves with the flick of her hand. She looked comfortable in her element. With her, at that moment, playing and splashing water at eachother, competing to reach the pole, I had the most fun in the last few years.

But soon I was tired and Felicity was still high with energy and excitement. She wanted to swim more. I also realized I had skipped my lunch and hungry as hell. So I went to change.

The locker room was empty. But just as I was going to enter one of the changing rooms, a sudden burst of fire broke through the still air.

It reminded me too much of the dragon in my dreams. And though otherwise I considered myself as a really brave and courageous person, I panicked. Two more balls of fire came towards me. I was too scared and move. I really wanted to run. My mind screamed at my folly. But my heart beat was raising first and my breathing was becoming more and more rugged.

With all the tiredness, panic and lack of glucose in my blood, for the second time in the last 36 hours, I slipped into a still darkness.
