A Romantic Folly

Chapter 5

We meet at Ash's locker as planned.

"ARE YA READY FOR PIZZA?!" Ashely practicly screams.

"SHHHH! Gosh this is school we might get in trouble! Scream outside, would you?" Nick and Ash laugh at how goody-two-shoes I am. "Let's just go."

When we get to the local pizza parlor we order individual slices and Nick treats us to cream sodas like the gentleman he is. We talk as we eat.

"Sooooooo!"

"What?" I will avoid talking about my encounter with 'Prince Charming' for as long as I can.

"What were you and Liam talking about while HE WALKED YOU TO YOUR LOCKER THIS MORNING!!!!" Oh god. Well I had a good run, didn't I.

"Well I was walking to my locker and I saw him talking to taylor. He said "Hey Angela" so I said "hey" back! Then I kept walking but he came over and asked how I was doing!" I continued explaining what happened, resulting in a few squeals from Ashely and Nick even looked somewhat moved! Suddenly Ashely looked up from her slice and had the biggest grin.

"YO LIAM! Why don't you come and sit by us?" I spin around and I see him standing there. Oh. My. God. What did she just do?

He came over and took the free seat next to me. I was sure I was as red as a fire truck.

"I have to go to the bathroom!" Ash stated.

"I think I'll go through out our plates and get Liam a slice." And with that Nick and Ashely became the worst friends in human history.

I was alone- with Liam- and he was staring a me. Crap.

"Uh, hi!" I awkwardly said. This was going to be painful.

"Hey." His voice was deep. But not too deep so that he sounded like a 40 year old trapped in a boys boddy. He sounded like a sweet melody being played on a bass guitar. God I'm a freak!

"So, erm.. What do you like to do?"

"Watch netflix," I say without thinking, "specificly catch up with Supernatural. But I watch other things on there too!" Great now I sound like a total dork!

"YOU WATCH SUPERNATURAL?!"

"YES!"

"Saving people, hunting things.."

"THE FAMILY BUSINESS!" We finish in unison. Then we laugh. Wow! This kid keeps getting cooler and cooler!

"Do you watch Doctor Who and Sherlock too?" Did he really just ask that?!

"Did you really just ask that?! Yes. Oh god yes!" Then the cutest thing happened. He squealed like a girl. A fan girl to be more precise.

Liam's POV

I can't believe that noise came from me. Man, I'm really screwing this up! At least she laughed! I'll have to thank Nick later.

"So, tell me sweetie," I hope she didn't mind that, "who's your favorite doctor?"

"New who? I'd have to say... 11. But classic who, based on what I'm told obviously, 4!" Wow. Just wow. Same favorites. She's really cool!

"Me too!" We talk for a while about Doctor Who and all that. We even get into our favorite ships! By the time the others get back we hardly know how to stop!

After finishing the pizza and walking around a bit my mom calls me and tells me to come home. Dang. I don't want to go!
"I've got to go, but can I get your number?" I ask. My heart is pounding.

"Sure!" I hand her my phone and I take her's. Ask I punch the numbers in I realize how sweaty my hands are. Jeeze! I didn't know girls could have this effect on you.

"I'll call you, alright?"

"Sounds like a plan!"

Man, it was a great day! I think I have an even bigger crush on Angela. When I get home I go to my room right away and text her.

Liam: Am I texting the phone of Angela Baker?

Angela: lol yup ;p
Hello sweetie!

Liam: sorry I'm late traffic was hell.

Angela: I'm going to sound weird now but it's so great you like SuperWhoLock!

Liam: yea you 2!

Angela: excited for Xmas break?

Liam: yea! We have to hang out!

She doesn't reply for a few minutes. I start to get really worried. I've scared her off! I'm so stupid!
Suddenly my phone vibrates with a new text... It's from Angela!

Angela: lol sorry I had to help my mom with groceries! But yea we should totally hang out sometime!

Liam: great!
We talk for a long time. About school, and friends and everything. I decide to take a gutsy move.
Liam: so do you like anyone at school?

Angela: maybe. U?

Liam: maybe.

Angela: well what was the point of asking if you weren't going to tell! I thought you would want me to ask her for u or something!

Liam: well then ud have to ask yourself

Angela: you would too

Liam: wait so you like me?

Angela: yea. Do u like me?

Liam: yea that's what I said

Angela: cool

Liam: yea

Angela: gtg

Liam: ok bi! Txt me later ok?
But she didn't she never did. I probably scared her or something. Shoot. I'm so stupid!
