ELENA'S LETTER.
FINNICK,I woke up this morning with an endless supply of tears. Today was supposed to be your birthday and all I can think about is the way we used to celebrate - stupid little parties by the ocean as you tried to out-swim Jace in some silly game. They're such fond memories, ones that I will cherish until it is time to join you in the clouds.
Peeta has been doing so much better and he is a wonderful father to our children. My oldest, Finn Everett, is a little charmer - in that way he reminds me so much of you but in every other way he's his father, practically a spitting image. Our youngest, Maggie Rose, looks like me but mostly she reminds me of my mother. They're my everything, all three of them bring me nothing but joy Finnick, something you contributed to so much over the years.
When I sit and write these letters, I try my hardest to remember the good memories we had together rather than the tragic final one. Yet, they still creep up on me. I just hope that wherever you are, you're well.
I love you - please remember that for the rest of the time until we meet again.
ELENA
