TWELVE GRIMMAULD PLACE WAS NEVER a happy place. It was never a place that bustled with life, not until Sirius Black gave it to Dumbledore to use as a Headquarters for the Order of the Phoenix. Now, the place seemed lighter than how Sirius remembered it, it seemed happier. Well, most of it did, the room with his family tapestry, however, that was still a room that he most definitely despised. One that was practically always locked away.
The first time in almost twenty years that Sirius entered it was with Harry Potter. He showed his Godson the family tree, the one thing he absolutely hated in the entire world. He could feel a sadness deep in his chest as he looked at the burnt out picture of someone who was once very special to him.
It seemed that Harry noticed Sirius' eyes practically superglued to that spot, a confused look washed over him, "You have a sister?" He questioned in a surprised voice, looking between the tapestry and his Godfather.
Sirius' face was burnt out from the tapestry, his brother's face wasn't and the one right in between also was. 'Cassiopeia Black' was the name underneath the burn. A name Harry had never heard before.
A sad look entered Sirius' grey eyed, "Cassiopeia," He said in the softest voice Harry had ever heard, "I wish you could've met her, she would've loved you," He said with a sad smile as he looked back at his Godson, "I'll tell you about her one day, Harry," Sirius promised, he clasped his hand on the teenager's shoulder, "Remus and I will."
And that was the second promise Sirius unintentionally broke.
