HAZEL WAS MORE THAN HAPPY when Remus told her about his feelings for a certain purple haired woman. He spoke to his daughter first, just to make sure that she was okay with it before he made the next move. And truthfully Hazel was ecstatic. Remus deserved to be happy and it was extremely clear to everyone that Tonks made him happy.

The brunette couldn't remember her real mum. She was far too young when she died, Remus never spoke of her too much, merely a word there and then but nothing in detail. It was obvious that the pain of losing his loved one was still very present in his life, and truthfully, it would always be present, but it didn't mean that he couldn't at least try to be happy again. She loved her dad more than anything, and now that she wasn't living with him anymore, she felt less guilty knowing he had someone else in his life who cared for this as much as she did.

Hazel pulled away from the hug from Remus, she felt saddened that he was already heading back home but the Full Moon was nearing and so she completely understood. Lyall had left that morning and Tonks was leaving with Remus. Both of them being pleaded by Mrs. Weasley to stay 'just a little bit longer'.

"We should really go," Tonks said politely as the adults all gathered around the front door. Hazel couldn't help it as a strange feeling settled in her stomach, "The first night of the cycle's always the worse."

Hazel glanced over at her father and noticed his stiff posture. His shoulders were tense as he stared off into the wheat field, his eyes not even blinking, "Dad?" She asked at the very same time that Mr. Weasley called out, "Remus?"

Everyone's eyes travelled to him but he didn't look at them, his eyes were still locked on the wheat field. Hazel glanced in the direction he was looking at but due to the night setting in she couldn't spot anything at all, however the strange feeling was still very present in her stomach.

Tonks placed her hand gently on Remus' arm as a loud noise emerged from above. Hazel's dark eyes widened in fear when she spotted a large fireball speeding down from the night sky. Suddenly, a loud familiar cackle was heard, accompanying the fireball that lit a circle of fire around the Burrow causing everyone to start panicking.

Remus pushed his daughter behind him as a black shadow manifested in front of them.

Bellatrix Lestrange.

Hazel felt her jaw clenching as she watched the woman cackle, she then turned around and disappeared into the tall wheat. Suddenly, Hazel was pushed into George as someone sprinted past her and out of the house. Her dark eyes followed the figure and noticed that it was Harry, Ginny following him close behind.

"I killed Sirius Black!" Bellatrix sang mockingly, "I killed Sirius Black. You coming to get me?" Her tone was clearly mocking.

Remus, Tonks and Mr. Weasley didn't waste anymore time in rushing into the wheat field after the two teenagers. Their wands out in their hands as they disappeared into the darkness. Hazel thought about running in after her father but decided against it when her eyes spotted the fire still surrounding the Burrow.

Grabbing her wand from her pocket, the brunette rushed outside and began to calm the fire, throwing as much water as she could from her wand. Everyone else joined her outside, cautiously patrolling the area around the Burrow. Suddenly two black shadows flew through the air before flying right into the Burrow, setting the entire house on fire before disappearing from view.

Hazel's mouth opened in shock as she dropped to her knees. Her dark eyes were locked on the burning house, wood pieces falling down to the ground as the fire ate its way through it, destroying anything it touched inside and out. The sound of crackling wood was usually comforting for the brunette, she loved to listen and watch fires burning, but this was different. This wasn't relaxing, this didn't lull her to sleep, this was devastating.

"Hazel!" Remus' voice brought her out of her gaze. She glanced over her shoulder and noticed Remus running straight towards her. He didn't waste any time in pulling his daughter back up to her feet as he checked her over for any injuries, "Are you okay? Are you hurt?"

Hazel shook her head, "No, I'm okay, dad," The brunette breathed out.

Remus frowned at her before using his thumb to wipe away a flood of tears that streamed down her face. She hadn't even noticed them until he did that and suddenly a wave of emotions rushed through her and she threw her arms around her father. Hazel's dark eyes spotted George over her father's shoulder, and as soon as they pulled away, the brunette sprinted over to her fiancé.

George spotted her out of his peripheral vision and he opened up his arms, letting her run straight into his chest as they held each other and cried.

PUTTING OUT THE FIRE WAS definitely a team task.

Everyone that could legally use magic outside of Hogwarts used their wands to pour thousands of litres over the burning mess. The fire died down eventually, leaving a giant hole in all of their hearts; and if the Burrow burning down wasn't enough to break their hearts, the look on Mrs. Weasley's face most definitely was.

The short woman was wrapped tightly in her husband's arms, a devastated look on her face. Dried tear stains on her cheeks, a deep frown replaced her usually wide grin, her shoulders were deflated with defeat as her teary eyes refused to look at what was left of their home.

The adults decided that they would be the ones to stay back and start clearing up the mess, whilst the twins and Hazel took the teenagers back to their flat for the rest of the night. Hazel took Ginny and apparated back home, whilst Fred and George did the same with Harry and Ron.

The flat was eerily quiet as no one spoke a word. Harry and Ron stayed in Hazel and George's room; since they had the slightly bigger one. They didn't get a wink of sleep and instead laid top and tail in the large bed in silence. Ginny had Fred's room, she managed to fall asleep but nightmares plagued her thoughts, causing her to wake up a fair few times during the night.

Fred brewed up some fresh coffee and thanks to the caffeine the trio stayed up in the dark. None of them talking, just thinking.

Hazel thought about her two near-death experiences. She thought about her father. About Sirius Black. About the Weasleys and about Harry. Each and every thought causing her frown to deepen. After several hours of battling with her inner thoughts, Hazel finally glanced up. There was one single lamp on in the living room and from that light she could see both of the twins had already fallen fast asleep on each of the armchairs, soft snores escaping their lips.

With a deep sigh, the brunette placed her empty mug down onto the coffee table as her eyes lingered on George's face. Standing up from her seat on the couch, Hazel grabbed two blankets and threw them over each one of the twins before she sat back down, her dark eyes super-glued to the window at the other side of the room until the sun finally began to rise.
