I FOUND myself much more energetic than usual that morning. my mixed excitement and nerves were pulsing through my veins. i was practically bouncing around the room when i was packing and my ecstatic mood did not go unnoticed.

"someone's awful cheery." sarah came out of the bathroom, shoving her pyjamas into one of the sections of her suitcase. i flopped backwards onto the bed, sighing contently.

"because," i sat up, hugging the pillow tightly with excitement. "we're playing glastonbury tomorrow! ah, i can't wait!" i started squealing excitedly, as sarah laughed at me, tossing the remainder of her clothes into her already bursting suitcase. my phone buzzed violently on my bedside table. pressing the green answer button, i placed it by my ear and started speaking. "hello?"

"hey, so we're down at reception," I heard colin's voice ring out. "we're gonna hold our stuff at reception and have breakfast. we've reserved a table and everything." i nodded and bummed in response, glancing back towards sarah, who was struggling to zip up the case, small grunts escaping her mouth. "yes, that's fine. see you in a few."

"s'later." the call ended and i finished packing up. the struggle to fit all of my clothes was a massive one, but, as soon as i was able to pull around that silver zipper, i let out a sigh of relief. i picked up my handbag and out the door we went. the quicker we got out of that hotel, the better i would feel. the reoccurring memories were getting too much for me to handle.

sarah closed the door shut, keycard in hand as we made our way to the elevators. she pressed the big white button on the cushioned wall, and the sliding door opened immediately. once we had stepped in, the door slid shut and down it went. sarah turned to me excitedly.

"so, how excited are we? god, i really hope i get to meet zack de la rocha, he's so fit."

i chuckled to myself as the door finally opened, allowing the pair of us to step out into the lobby. it was jam packed, as people were signing out, and i assumed they were all also going to the festival too, as they had their camping gear alongside their other belongings. the employees were clearly being kept busy.
