SARAH HELD graham's hand tightly as we waited for the doctor to return. we were now sat in a bedroom in some random hospital, wondering if alex had in fact, successfully managed to break his friend's arm. currently, graham was sat on a hospital bed, wincing in pain and alex was pacing around the room, panicking. i had lost count at how many times he had tried to apologise, but neither sarah nor graham were having it.

"alright," the doctor finally returned, a sixty-something year old spanish man, carrying a red clip board in his hands. "so mr coxon has broken his elbow, and part of his ulna has cracked. we're talking maybe...hmm, seven to eight weeks in a cast?"

"surely not that long?" damon stood up panicking. "we—we're releasing an album soon and we'll have to tour and...fucking hell! alex, this is your fault."

"i know! for fuck sake, how many times do i have to apologise?" alex shouted back in response. he then turned to the doctor, a sad look on his face. "listen, i'll pay for it."

"we know you will." sarah growled at him. "not like i'm leaving you much choice, alex." i gulped out loud; i had never seen her so angry before. it was like a demon had taken over her body, removing any form of positivity, leaving only the negative emotions; anger, fear and disgust.

"however, he's had a small bit of trauma to the head, so he's of high risk of getting a concussion," the doctor continued, ignoring our bickering. "so it would probably be best to keep him overnight. you people can go home. also, his health insurance covers it, so there's no issue with payment."

"noted. thank you, doctor serrano." dave politely shook his hand before directing us out of the hospital room.

"wait, can i stay here overnight?" sarah asked, still grasping graham's hand tightly. "i'm not comfortable leaving him by himself for the night in a foreign country." luckily for her, the doctor agreed, as she started setting up a bed for herself. i waved goodbye to her and headed out the main entrance. the remainder of the group walked in awkward silence outside the door until damon finally spoke up.
