Natsu's POV

After the fight with the three Rogue wolves that were after Lucy, we hunted a deer and a few rabbits before returning to our spot in the hole inside the small dirt cliff. I growled at the thought of what those male Rogues were planning to do with Lucy. She told me everything, about how and why they attacked her a week ago. Disgusting, I hope to never see them near Lucy or my territory ever again. If I ever do then they will wish they were never born.

I noticed it was getting late in the afternoon and I needed to get back to my pack. Wouldn't want my pack worried about me enough to send a search party out for me and find Lucy. "I need to get back to my pack. Are you going to be alright while I'm gone?" I asked her. "Yeah, I'll be alright. Take the deer with you" she replied, laying down. "Why?" I asked, we hunted so she had enough food to eat until I returned. 'Isn't she hungry?' I wondered while tilting my head.

"Think of it as a thank you for saving me twice. It's not much but I want to somehow repay you for everything you've done" she replied. "You don't need to repay me. I would do anything for a friend" I said with a smile and she smiled back. "Still, take it with you. If not for your humongous appetite then take it for your pack" she insisted with a bit of a giggle. "Alright, thanks. See you tomorrow, same time" I replied before I sunk my teeth into the deer's neck and started dragging it towards the pack dens. "Yeah, see you tomorrow" she said before eating one of the rabbits we caught.

The deer's dead weight slowed me down but I managed to get it back to the pack before sundown. "Whoa, where did you find this?" Gray asked, walking up to me while I was dragging the deer into the food den. I let go of the deer's neck to reply, "I caught this myself." I still can't tell Gray that Lucy, a Rogue, helped me hunt this. Although, Lucy did give me some awesome tips for hunting like how to quieten my footsteps while keeping my body low to the ground. I guessed she learned a lot while being alone as a Rogue.

"Really? All by yourself?" Gray questioned with his eyebrow raised. I think he was getting suspicious because usually it takes more than one wolf to take down a deer. One to scare the deer while the others ambush. "Hell yeah I did. Help me take it into the food den, would ya?" I replied quickly getting off the topic. He still seemed to question my words but still helped me drag the deer into the food den.

"Thanks for the help" I said as we walked out of the food den. I was the only one to noticed a certain ocean blue female wolf hiding behind a tree stalking Gray. "So how did your patrol go? Did you spot any Rogues near the border today?" Gray asked. I thought back to the three wolves who were after Lucy. It should be okay to tell him about those three. "Yeah, three male Rogues but I scared them off. They were so weak" I replied with a smirk. "You know you're meant to howl for back up if you find a Rogue. Especially three of them" he said. "Yeah but I knew I could handle it" I replied, trying to act cool.

He raised his eyebrow, "I'm surprised you could handle fighting three Rogues, patrolling the East forest and hunting by yourself" he said. "Are you calling me weak Ice Princess?" I growled and glared at him. "Weaker than me Flame Brain" he challenged, returning my glare. "We'll see about that Frost Bite!" I shouted and was about to leap at him when- "Are you boys fighting?" we heard the red demon wolf say. We quickly leaned shoulder-to-shoulder to each other with our paws over the other's shoulder. "N-No ma'am we are just talking like best friends do. Right Natsu?" Gray said. "Aye" I replied, shaking as much as Gray. "Good. Now I need both of you to help me rearrange my den" she said. "Actually Erza, I have something I need to do first" Gray replied before trotting towards the forest. 'Traitor' I thought as I glared at his retreating figure. "Looks it will be just you helping me Natsu" Erza said and I began to shake. 'Help...' I thought.

"Argh I'm exhausted!" I exclaimed as I collapsed outside her den after rearranging it. She made me move her bed, which was made out of thick leaves and moss, all over her den. To Erza, I was either too far to the left or too far to the right. Her bed is heavy to push around with my head. She wanted to move it away from the entrance because autumn will be coming in a week. "Stop complaining" Erza sighed as she walked out of her den casually. "You weren't the one pushing the heavy bed around" I replied. Our ears perked as we heard a howl in the distance. I instantly knew it was Gray's howl, it was saying he found a Rogue and it was coming from...THE EAST FOREST! Oh no Lucy! Without hesitation, I ran as fast as I can towards where Lucy was hiding, hoping I would get there before the rest of the pack does.
