"You know my eyesight is bad, right? You know contact lenses won't guarantee that I could aim properly. " Dahyun was trying to explain to her members. They were gathered in their living room, forming a circle. The ISAC is nearing and they are here to decide and assign what sport each of them should participate in. Jihyo assigned her and Mina for archery and Dahyun was hesitant to do it.
"It's alright, Dahyunie. We trust you." Their leader assured her. She pouted. She knew she wasn't good at sports, but it was the only category that involves no running. She doesn't want to participate in the marathon like the others nor does she wants to compete in the Korean traditional wrestling like Jeongyeon, Nayeon, and Momo. She does not have enough strength and stamina for that. Upon further contemplation, she then decided to agree because she really does not have a choice.
"I'll try my best." Jeongyeon noticed her lack of confidence so she tried to cheer her up.
"It's okay Dahyun, we don't need to win, you know. Just enjoy the experience." Jeongyeon patted her in the shoulders. Dahyun smiled, feeling comforted by the support of her older members.
"One more thing, the archery will be composed of girls and boys. The teams for ISAC this year are mixed, so Mina and Dahyun will be with the other two boys for our archery team." Jihyo further explained as she read the paper handed by their manager earlier.
"Oh. Who will be the other two?" Mina asked.
"It doesn't say here, maybe they're still deciding who. But you'll meet them tomorrow for practice."
After assigning everyone their sport, t hey all went back to their rooms to rest. The past month has been extra hard for everyone. They shot a lot of videos for commercials and pictures for magazines. They also attended a lot of fan meetings, too. It has been really hectic but the girls tried to have fun. They stayed all day in their dorms today because they're finally done with everything.
Dahyun sat on her bed while combing her hair. She just got out of the shower and is now wearing a pajama. Chae is in front of her, lying in her own bed watching videos.
"Do you still have choco pies? I'm suddenly craving for something sweet." Chaeyoung asked, sitting up from her bed.
"Yup. Get some there at my table. I still have a pack of it." Dahyun nods in the direction of her table. Chae stood up and walked toward it.
"You still have a pack? That's a miracle." She turned to Dahyun with her doe-eyed eyes, surprised that she hasn't eaten all of her choco pies when she usually finished a box of it a week after buying.
"Hmm. I haven't eaten some for a week." Dahyun just shrugged, still combing her hair until it finally dries.
Chaeyoung was unwrapping one of the choco pies when she stopped midway and looked at Dahyun, "Was it because of what I said?" She asked, grinning.
"What?" Dahyun's eyebrows arched slightly, not really knowing what Chaeyoung is pertaining to.
"About you saying Jimin is like chocolates because what he makes you feel is unhealthy. And I told you chocolates are your favorite. You got quiet after. Is that the reason?" Chaeyoung is starting to laugh as she ate. She finds it cute and funny how Dahyun is trying so hard to deny her feelings in every way possible even as petty as not eating chocolates.
Dahyun scoffed. "What are you saying? I just don't want to ruin my diet." She puffed her cheeks, her eyebrows now evidently frowning. Inside her mind, she's questioning herself if she really did that because of what Chae said. Did she just avoid chocolates because she associated it with Jimin? The thought seems ridiculous to her. Why would she avoid eating her favorite? She can't even go on a day without eating at least one.
