Of Books and Coincidences

It has been three months now since TWICE finished all their promotions. It's just a week before they start planning and practicing again for their comeback, but Dahyun could not stand her boredom anymore. The TWICE members are all bored in their dormitory now. At first, it was okay. They party and bond every night, talk over hot chocos, chitchats while doing skincare, and such. However, they're running out of things to do now.

Chaeyoung yawned as she lie down in Dahyun's lap.

"Unnie, I'm so bored." She whined.
Dahyun felt the same. She wants a change of scenery.

"Why don't we go to the mall, too? The unnies have gone out with their other friends. Maybe the managers can let us out too." Dahyun said and typed something in her phone.

"Let's go! I think I'll shop for strawberries. Should I tell Tzuyu, too?" Chaeyoung asked.

"Yup. Tell her she needs to stop watching dramas and get out of the room." Chaeyoung just laughed and stood up to tell Tzuyu.

It was a sunny day but the heat isn't bad at all. Dahyun, Chaeyoung, and Tzuyu are now inside the mall. The three girls wear face masks and caps for disguise. The manager told them that no one should be able to recognize them.

"Unnie, I need to go to the supermarket to buy strawberries. Momo unnie ate all my strawberries at the fridge again." Chaeyoung complained.

"I want to buy bread." Tzuyu butt in. Dahyun chuckled. Tzuyu really likes bread and she always buy her some when they were still trainees.

"Eh? The bakery's on the fourth floor Tzuyu. The supermarket is on the ground floor. Let's go there first."

As they were walking, they passed by the book store and Dahyun stopped. It has been a while since she last bought a book. She loves reading. Back in her parent's house, her room has a shelf full of books. She missed it already. The tight schedule did not allow her to read often.

'I can make time now. I should buy one or two books before we resumed working again.' Dahyun thought.

"What if we just split? I want to go inside the bookstore. Chaeng can go to the supermarket now and Tzuyu can buy bread now too. Let's just meet at coffee shop near the entrance. " The two girls agreed. As the eldest of the maknae line, Dahyun strictly reminded the two to be extra careful and call her immediately if something happens.

She watched as the two girls walked away before turning to go inside the bookstore.

Jimin groaned as his avatar in the game he's playing died again. Exhausted, he finally stood up and left the arcade. He has spent almost two hours inside playing everything.

It was his rest day and he was trying to enjoy it by going to the mall. As an idol, it became difficult to enjoy mundane things now, things that normal people could do.

He adjusted the clear glasses he's wearing. Aside from that, he's also wearing a bucket hat and a mask to cover his face. He's alone and he can't afford to be seen by fans or caught by camera especially because he did not ask for permission to go outside. PD-nim will scold him again if he finds out.

He walked slowly while his hands are both inside his pockets. He's looking around, trying to find other things to do when he noticed a bookstore. It reminded him of the article he read last night.

"I wonder what kind of books does she read? Maybe she likes romance." Jimin thought. Lately, he has been searching a lot about Dahyun. As much as he does not want to admit it, he often thinks about her especially when he's seeing random videos of TWICE in the internet. It just made him more curious about her.
