One Fine Sunday

"Dahyunnie." Chaeng was lightly tapping Dahyun's cheek. It was still 7 AM in the morning. Dahyun usually wakes up early but she seemed to have fallen asleep so soundly last night. Lately, Chaeyoung noticed that Dahyun has been sleeping later than her usual bedtime. Sometimes she would wake up around midnight and catch her still on her phone. However, today's the start of the preparation of their comeback.

Dahyun just groaned. Chaeyoung chuckled. "If you don't wake up now, Jeongyeon unnie will. And she will throw you out of your bed. Literally."

Dahyun gradually opened her eyes. Chae was standing beside her bed with both her hands in her hips.

"Come oooon. Let's eat breakfast and prepare." She said, thumping her feet at the same time.

"Okay. Just five minutes more." Dahyun closed her eyes again.

"Yaaah! Unnie." Chaeyoung pouted. "Ah, I remembered. A package arrived for you."

Dahyun decided to sit up in her bed now. She wished she could still sleep some more but she knew it was time to get going. She rubbed her eye while looking at Chaeyoung with the other eye squinted.

"From Onces?" Dahyun asked, with sleepiness still apparent in her voice.

"Hmm.. maybe. Actually, I don't know. The gifts given by Onces arrived last week and the package for you arrived today alone so..."

"Okay. I'm gonna get up now."

Dahyun started fixing herself. She took a bath and changed into casual clothes. She heard last night that they are going to just listen to the song today and distribute lines. It would only take them until lunch to wrap up and then they are free to go. After she finished preparing, Dahyun went out of the room to make herself coffee. She figured she needed the extra boost of caffeine to survive the day. She definitely needs to sleep early now that they are back at work again.

She smiled, remembering the reason why she was up late recently. It has been almost a week now since Jimin texted her. He texts her every night asking how her day went. It was just brief exchanges of messages but she somehow feels like she knew him better now.

"Is the hot choco funny?" Tzuyu asked.

"What?" Dahyun was startled by Tzuyu's sudden appearance. She did not notice that she came into the kitchen.

"You were smiling funny at it." Tzuyu teased.

Dahyun just laughed. Slightly embarrassed that the youngest caught her in her dreamy state. She went out of the kitchen with her mug of coffee and sat on the couch in the living room. Some members aren't done preparing so she still have time to peacefully drink coffee.

She saw a small box in the small table and figured it must be the package Chaeyoung was talking about it. She put the mug down and grabbed the package. It has her name written on it.

She stood up and went inside their room to put the box beside her bed. She'll open it later when they get back.

"I didn't know you read, hyung." Jungkook said. Jimin took his eyes away from the book he's reading and shot Jungkook a glance. The youngest is drinking his favorite Banana milk again.

"I'm just curious." He said. And he really is. After he asked Dahyun for her number, he went back inside the mall to the bookstore. He bought books, specifically the ones Dahyun mentioned when they talked. A part of him wants to get to know Dahyun more. He did find out a lot of things about her through their conversations but he wants to understand her deeply. What goes inside her mind? What are her dreams? What makes her happy? And other things like that. Things the fans don't know about her, things that aren't in the articles and interviews. He figured he might as well read the same books as her to get a glimpse of her thoughts, for a start.
