Under the Pale Moonlight

Today is the day of their performance. The venue is incredibly big and the number of people could easily get someone lost in a crowd. The booming cheers could be heard clearly backstage that Dahyun's heart can't help but mimic the sound.

"You okay, Dahyun?" Sana asked, noticing how the younger girl has her hands tightly intertwined with each other. Dahyun's nerves are on edge. It was always the case before performing in front of a huge crowd.

Dahyun nodded and smiled. "Performance jitters." She mumbled, loud enough for Sana to hear. The latter just chuckled. It has been two hours since they arrived at the venue and they are all already dolled up. They are now only waiting for the program to officially start. Their performance would be the opening act.

It has been three days since they practiced with BTS. They did not practice together again since they can pretty much rehearse the steps on their own. A while ago, they went to the stage to go over their choreography and positions so they had the chance to see BTS again. The rehearsal went smoothly and brief. Dahyun was not able to talk to Jimin again even though they were practically beside each other all throughout. She feels like she is being rude rather than cautious. Everyone was interacting and talking to each other and then they were there plain mute. It would have been nice if they go along well if it weren't just for Dahyun who feels awkward about it.

The members will tease us more if we remain like this.

She thought, determined to change the way things are.

The cheering of the audience grew louder as they appeared on stage. Everyone was screaming their hearts out. Fans are going wild as they saw BTS and TWICE in one stage. Leeteuk started singing then, as BTS and TWICE members dance on both his sides.

The overwhelming support of the crowd instantly drowned Dahyun's fears. She enjoyed dancing as the fans hyped them. At her side, she saw Jimin enjoying too while smiling out and out. The boy met her gaze and smiled. She beamed in return as they continued dancing.

The song was nearing its end. The members gather in the center surrounding Leeteuk, preparing to bow simultaneously. Dahyun felt how Jihyo took her left hand. She was wondering why but she soon realized that everyone held each other's hand for the bow. That's when she felt another hand on her left. The touch sent shivers to her spine but she tried to act calm as she faced Jimin and smiled. Jimin's hand was small but Dahyun's was smaller. He can't help but think that it fits perfectly as if their fingers were molded according to each other's shape that it fills the spaces in their hands like pieces of a puzzle. Jimin did not hold back the smile that crept on his face. No one can possible determined why he's smiling so brightly. No one could know that the girl beside caused it so.

They all bowed at the same time and the crowd showered them with claps and screams. Jimin let go of Dahyun's hand a little later than the others as each group went backstage.

The performance was successful and it trended immediately. It became the talk of the town. Fancams were instantly uploaded too as fans gushed over the great performance.

"You did a great job, guys! Thank you so much. I want to invite you for dinner later if that's okay?" Leeteuk said after they all met backstage. They all readily agreed for no one could possibly refuse a singer they all looked up to.

They decided to head to their respective rooms now to change. Everyone is talking about the performance as they walk. Dahyun felt relieved and happy that it turned out great.

She's falling behind a little as they tread along the hall. The path backstage isn't exactly wide enough to let all of them walk at the same time. It was also dark so she was being careful not to trip on wires on the floor so she resorted to walking slowly.
