》violet's pov 《

"Clementine."

Wow. That's a beautiful name. There was silence for a while, it wasn't an awkward silence, just silence.

Clementine slowly began to take steps closer, and when she was only one step away from me, she reached out her hand. "Hold my hand."

"W-What- Why?" I stuttered. Why? Why do you want to hold my hand? I don't even know her! She can be a killer!

Clementine chuckled a little and grabbed my wrist. "I want to show you something."

We stepped off the train tracks into the grass that grew around, and Clementine dragged me up the hill.

We climbed the hill. This view is perfect. Even as we stood, Clementine was still holding my hand, and I could feel my cheeks burning.

"Wow..." I muttered, looking around. I've never seen a city at night like this. Only street lamps and the moon shine everywhere.

Clementine looked at me. "Isn't it beautiful? Such peace and all the little lights..."

I turned my head towards Clememtine. "It's beautiful... W-Why are you showing me this? I mean, not that I'm complaining, but you met me about five minutes ago. What if I'm a killer?"

Clementine gave me a little creepy smile. "What if I'm a killer?"

I rolled my eyes playfully. "I wouldn't believe that."

We both laughed. Her laughter... Her voice is so pure. Wait- Really Vi? Pure...?

Clementine let go of my wrist. "S-Sorry I completely forgot."

I chuckled a little. "It's fine. But really now... Why are you showing me this? Why are you even talking to me at all?"

"I don't see people on abandoned train tracks very often. And you look... nice." Clementine looked at the ground, playing with her own fingers.

I felt my cheeks burn again and I smiled at her thanks to her words. "You look nice too."

Clementine stopped playing with her fingers and looked at me with a smile. "What if we got to know each other better?"

I thought for a moment. What else would I do? Would I walk alone on train tracks? At least I have someone with me now. "Sure, why not." I gave her a smile.

Clementine and I are sitting on a hill for almost an hour, looking at a quiet town and talking. I learned a lot about Clementine and she learned about me.

Normally I wouldn't talk to people like that, but I've been very lonely lately and I feel like I can trust Clementine.

I found out that Clementine has a younger brother, Alvin Junior or AJ. Or that she likes baseball.

~few minutes ago~

"I like baseball."

"Baseball suck."

"You suck."

"Not as much as baseball!"

The reason I've never seen her before is because her dad Lee found a girlfriend named Carley who lives here so they moved in with her three months ago. Lee and Carley didn't want Clementine to be too stressed from the new school, so they offered to study at home.

I laughed because Clementine told me how she met her friend James. "Wait wait! So he really started twerking in the middle of the park in the fountain?"
