"Why couldn't I just broken a leg or something?" Y/n shook her head as she walked down the halls of the school. She thought maybe having a broken limb was better than losing precious memories.
She kept mentally cursing at herself, not looking where she was walking which caused her to bump into someone.
"Oh my god I'm so sorry."
"It's fine."
She looked up at the person, "Oh Hyunjin, I didn't see you." she said.
Every time Hyunjin sees or even takes a glance at her, he was on the verge of tears. But he held it together not wanting to worry her.
Nobody said anything until Minho cleared his throat as he "accidentally" pushed Hyunjin towards Y/n.
"Um Miyeon told me about the accident. I'm sorry for what happened." He pursed his lips regretting what just came out of his mouth.
She was a little shocked to why Miyeon told a person she barely knew. "Oh. No need to be sorry, it wasn't your fault." Little did you know he thought.
He couldn't stop looking at her. All he wanted to do was to hug her and tell her that he loves her but he can't.
She looked at him. She didn't know what happened between them but she wasn't going to listen to her parents. He doesn't seem bad.
"But you know I do remember you." She nodded. His eyes widened, was there hope he thought. "Really?!"
"Yeah." Y/n smiled. "We met two years ago, we were friends right?" Hyunjin felt as his heart dropped to his stomach and his stomach to the ground, "Uh y-yeah friends."
"Why don't we start over? Hi my name is Cho Y/n." She stuck out her hand for a shake.
Hyunjin hesitated at first but he held a small smile and took her hand for a handshake. "Hwang Hyunjin." He replied.
There was that feeling again. But this time was a sense of familiarity and comfort. She didn't notice it at first but she felt like she has held that hand her entire life.

"Y/n please talk to me. I'm sorry for what I said. I really didn't mean it like that." Miyeon said, trying to speak pass through Y/n's room door.
The girls had made it back home right after school. Throughout the whole car ride was just silence then when they got home Y/n went straight upstairs, locking herself in her bedroom.
Miyeon knocked on the door again hoping for Y/n to answer and open the door.
"Go away! I just want to be alone right now." Y/n yelled from the other side of the door.
"Can you at least tell me where you went after you ran away? I just want to protect you." Miyeon stumbled back as Y/n opened her door.
She sighed, "That's just another thing, I don't need protection. Yeah I lost a year of my memories but I've been handling myself for 20 years now."
Miyeon just frowns at the girl.
"Look, I appreciate you looking out for me like the big sister you are but we moved here for a fresh start so let me protect myself. Also I shouldn't have overreacted." She rested her hand on Miyeon's shoulder and pulled her into a hug.
"So don't worry about me. Make friends, joins clubs, live your live. Do whatever the hell you want." She chuckles.
Miyeon sighs, "Okay but do me one thing. Listen to mom and dad and don't have any interactions with Hyunjin or his friends."
Y/n pursed her lips, "Okay." She nodded.

(Next day)
"Hey Y/n you wanna hang out with us after school?" Chan asks the girl.
She smiled at the eight boys, "Okay."
Y/n wasn't going to let anybody tell her what not to do and who not to hang out with. So when she has been given an opportunity, she will take it. And if they offer, of course she wasn't going to refuse.
Hyunjin widened his eyes and pulled them to the side, "What are you guys doing?" He whispers so only they could hear.
"Chan told us the plan. We've never seen you so happy these past 2 years and she's the reason why. And because of what happened this past month, you've been very depressed." Jeongin frowned.
"Also...we really want to get to know the girl who our friend has been hiding from us all this time." Changbin smirked.
Hyunjin sighs, "Fine but please be careful of what you say." He warned the boys and they nodded going back to the girl standing all by herself.
"What's with all the whispering?" Y/n chuckles. "Uhh...we were just deciding where to go. Saved it~." Felix said whispering the last part to the guys.
"Oh I know." She then laced her arm with Hyunjin's, he slightly flinched at the sudden action and just looks at her. "Jinnie, why don't we go to the place we used to go as friends?"
He blinked. "W-what did you just call me?"
"Ahh I remember when we first met, you told Miyeon and I that we could call you that." She innocently shrugged. He suddenly recalled that memory and let out a light chuckle, "Right."
"Who knows, maybe it will help recover some memories." Y/n said.
He gulped as he look at his friends. They just nodded in response. "Uh s-sure yeah of course. Meet us at the gates after school."
"Hey can we also invite Miyeon-" Minho started but was cut off by Y/n.
"NO!" Y/n cleared her throat, "I mean no. She's actually very busy so she wouldn't be able to make it."
The boys believed it.
Y/n smiled and tried to leave without any further questions, "Okay well I'm off to class. See you guys later." She waved.
