Three

"That was a lot to take in." Chan said. 

They were all in shock. One, Hyunjin was able to hide a relationship from them for 8 months and two, his own girlfriend doesn't even remember their whole relationship. 

"Should we check on Hyunjin?" Felix frowned looking at his older friend's closed bedroom door.

Chan shook his head. "We should give him a minute. I mean that was a lot and it is his girlfriend for goodness sake. Imagine forgetting a relationship like that, I have no idea what he must be feeling right now."

"Well in the meantime I think we should find a way to cheer him up." Minho suggested. "Jisung and Felix, go and pick up Hyunjin's favorite take-out. It won't heal the pain but hopefully it will do something."

The two then got up and left.

"Seungmin and Jeongin, clean the place up before Hyunjin comes out. Chan and Changbin, come with me, we will talk and comfort Jinnie." They all nodded and did what Minho said.

Chan knocked on Hyunjin's door lightly and opened it when he heard a tiny "come in".

They frowned when they saw Hyunjin sitting on the floor next to his bed holding a picture frame. Minho and Changbin sat on each side of him while Chan sat in front of him.

"I-I can't believe I caused her to lose her memories." Hyunjin sobbed as he caresses the picture frame with a candid picture of him and Y/n in it.

Minho and Changbin was crying beside Hyunjin. "But you didn't. Hyunjin this isn't your fault." Chan assured him as he patted his knees.

Hyunjin shot his head at Chan. "Then why does it feel like it is? Her parents hate me, Miyeon probably secretly hates me, and Y/n...Y/n deep down might even hate me."

"Don't think like that. Look I may not know Y/n well and I don't know how your relationship was but 8 months seems pretty long. If anything, there would be nothing but love." Chan reassured him.

"Maybe. But now there's just nothing because she doesn't remember." He shoved his head into his hands.

"Come. Let's have you cleaned up, we'll have dinner, then you will get a good nights sleep. In the morning we'll have her fall in love with you all over again, like nothing has ever happened or changed." Chan pulled Hyunjin off from the floor.

"I don't know." Hyunjin had doubt.

"We can recreate everything. From when you guys first met to when you guys got together to the moment you guys first fell in love with each other." Changbin continued.

Hyunjin sighed. "I appreciate you guys wanting to help but I think I just need some time to think all of this through."

They nodded. "I get it. Take all the time you need but just remember this, none of this is your fault okay. We'll see you outside."

Hyunjin sighed as he fell back onto his bed.

flashback

2 years ago

"Girls can you come down here for a minute." Mrs. Cho called from downstairs.

"Mom what is it? I was just writing my English essay and you're kinda ruining my process." Y/n said walking down the stairs. "Wasn't that essay due last week?" Miyeon furrowed her eyebrows.

Y/n shrugged. "I didn't feel like writing a whole essay then, so I should probably finish it now. Hey do you think-"

Mrs. Cho cleared her throat to get her daughters attention. "Uh girls we have guests. Please greet them politely." Their mother nodded her head towards the three people standing by the doorway.

Then at that moment something happened. The moment where everything started.

Y/n and Hyunjin locked eyes and something in them has sparked. She didn't believe in love at first sight but there was something about him that was intriguing.

"Hi. I'm Cho Y/n." She smiled at them. "And I'm Cho Miyeon."  They bowed showing how polite they were.

Then nothing came out of Hyunjin's mouth so his mother spoke up, "Nice to meet you girls. I'm Mrs. Hwang, this is Mr. Hwang, and right here is our son, Hwang Hyunjin."

Then Mr. Hwang spoke, "I've known your father for 20 years so it's nice to meet his kids. But please call us uncle and auntie." He smiled. Y/n's mom then led the adults towards the kitchen, leaving the kids by the front door. 

"Uh hi, Hwang Hyunjin but call me Jinnie, if you want." Hyunjin finally snapped out of his silence and stuck out his hand for Y/n to shake.

She chuckled at his state and took his hand for a shake. It wasn't like those awkward handshake where you wanted it to end already but it was more of a warm and comforting kind of handshake.

She let go of his hand and smiled, "Well Jinnie, why don't you come hang with us in my room. Miyeon was just playing games, you can join her if you want."

He smiled back at her, "I would love to."
