Nine

Two weeks later.

Y/n has hanged out with the boys more and more each day, but it's still a kept secret from Miyeon and her parents. It was surprisingly easy to be with the boys at school since Miyeon was two grades higher than Y/n and she had her own friends to eat lunch with.

The downfall of this is that the more Hyunjin sees her, the more memories flood in his brain and the more he remembers she doesn't remember their relationship.

The boys want to help him but he's been pushing it away.

Also despite her missing memories, Y/n is getting back into her confident and comfortable self. The reason she was popular at her old school was because of her personality. It wasn't just cause of her pretty looks, but she was kind, bright, and playful.

"Hey Y/n. You, me, Saturday night. What do you say?" Y/n was just grabbing books from her locker as some boy casually walked up to her, asking her out.

She turned around and looked at the boy she has never seen before up and down. "How cute, but who are you?" She awkwardly smile, trying not to sound rude.

"I'm Seojun, Kim Seojun." He said with an arrogant smile. "I'm in the third year class and I find your presence very intriguing. So, what do you say?" He wiggled his eyebrows as he leaned on the locker next to hers.

"I'm flattered but sorry, no thanks." She gave him a small smile hoping for him to leave already. "Oh come on, I can-"

"She said 'no thanks' Jun. Time to move on." Changbin said as the other 6 boys came walking behind him. Wait, 6?

"Come on Seo. You guys are the only people who can actually hang out with her."

He furrowed his eyebrows, "I don't know how you guys got her to but at least let someone else take a chance." He planted his arms to his side as he made a 'duh' look on his face.

"She already said 'no', move along Seojun." Minho stepped forward, making the boy gulp in fear. "S-sorry Lee Minho. I'll get going now, see you in class Changbin."

"Wow Minho, didn't know you had such power." Y/n chuckles. He just shrugged, "It just comes out naturally."

"By the way, if he bothers you again just ignore him. He always does this with all the girls in the school even though they all just reject him anyway." Changbin said.

She slowly nodded and when she looked around she noticed one boy was missing.

"Hey where's Hyunjin?" Her eyebrows knotted, looking at the boys. They pursed their lips looking at each other, trying to look for an answer. "He's doing some...thinking right now. Don't ask what about because we don't know." Chan said.

They knew exactly what it was about.

"Wait wait wait." Hyunjin chuckles as he pulls Y/n back into a hug, for the fourth time. She whines, "Jinnie~. Come on I'm going to be late for school and your ride is going to be here soon."

He lets go and look at her with a pout on his face, "I don't want you to go." She giggles at his state and pinches his cheeks. "Aw you know I can't handle myself when you look at me like that."

"That's why I'm making this face."

He continues to pout. "Stay with me. How about we skip classes today? We'll go to that chicken place you like then go for ice cream."

She sighs, "I would love that, but there's an assembly happening today and I'm kind of a part of it."

Hyunjin lets out a dramatic gasp, "You're gonna be in front of the whole school? No can do, I can't have all those boys staring at my beautiful girlfriend."

She chuckles looking up at him, "It's a dance performance. Thanks to you, I have a solo that I'm really looking forward to and don't worry. The only boy I actually want staring at me is my boyfriend."

He stood up straight, trying to look proud, "Your handsome prince you mean."

"Yes." Y/n chuckles. "My handsome prince of a boyfriend. Now come on, Miyeon is probably at school already wondering where I am." Before she was able to walk out the door he grabbed onto her once more to pull her into another hug.

"Wait. Promise you won't forget about me?" Hyunjin pouts yet again.

She chuckles, "Yes I promise." She pecked him on the lips and lets go of the hug, "Now let go, I don't want to be late to school because of you...again."

Hyunjin chuckles as he pulls her into a hug, this time a more ensuring hug.

Hyunjin sighs as he kicks a pebble in his path. "You promised." He says, letting out an unamused chuckle. "And it's all my fault that you did."

Hyunjin continued to walk around to clear his mind until he came across the campus's RA bulletin board. Looking at the Drama club's, 'Sleeping Beauty Play' poster.

"If I'm your prince and true love's kiss can break any curse, then I'm able to break your curse of lost memories." He formed his lips into a small smile but it soon disappeared. "But that's just fairytale, it can't be that easy."

"What can't be that easy?"

Hyunjin jumped to see Miyeon behind him. "You scared me." He exclaimed. She pursed her lips, "I'm sorry."

He took a moment then he furrowed his eyebrows. "Have you thought on how we could retrieve Y/n's memories back?" He asks.

Miyeon pursed her lips and avoided the boy's eyes. "No." She said as she shook her head. Hyunjin deeply sighed. "Hey hey there's still a chance, maybe take her-"

"I've taken her to literally every cafe and restaurant we ever went to with the guys. Still nothing." Hyunjin said.

"Maybe that's the problem. She didn't know the guys before, you should be by yourself when you're with her." Miyeon shrugged.

"Doesn't she still think you're siding with your parents? I know her, she would think that if you caught us, just us two, then she would be in big trouble." He said.

Miyeon was thinking it over then Hyunjin spoke again, "By the way, I know it's none of my business, but why are you making her think you're against her?"

Miyeon let out a disappointed sigh. "It's just easier to lie to my parents that way."

*Bell rings*

"We'll talk about this later." She said. "And Hyunjin?" She called for the boy.

"Yeah?"

"Thanks for not giving up on my sister. You were the best thing that happened to her and nobody should forget what you guys had." She said with a small smile.

He returned the smile. "Thank you. I love Y/n and I will continue to love her no matter what. I just hope she will remember that she once returned those feelings." Walking away he lowered his head, continuing to kick pebbles in his path.
