"Let's see, should I start with these large boxes or the smaller boxes? I'm feeling lazy today so...let's start with this small box."
It's currently Saturday and Y/n was stuck unpacking her room. She had all week to unpack but she procrastinated till the weekend. Miyeon was out with her new friends and her parents were out at work, so Y/n was pretty much home alone.
"Why are these so heavy?" She sat the box on her bed and took off the top. She furrows her eyebrows, "These are just empty picture frames."
She picked up one of the frames, "Why would I keep empty pictures frames?" She shook her head.
Y/n ignored her own further questioning and stuffed the box under her bed. "Maybe I should start with the large ones, considering they are marked clothes."
-
"Okay." Y/n clapped her hands. "My closet and drawers are filled, I've taken out the empty boxes, now all I have is these odd small boxes."
Her eyebrows scrunched when she sees that the boxes that was marked were blacked out with what is seems to be marker but she was able to read past it, "H...H...J. What's HHJ?"
These were the only boxes that was heavily taped so she struggled with it for a few minutes. She let out a loud grunt, "I'll just borrow scissors from Miyeon's room."
Luckily she was more organized so her room was already unpacked and cleaned. Y/n walked in and was able to spot her desk right away but she couldn't see the scissors.
She walked around the room a bit to find them, then when she went to look under the bed she spotted a few more boxes that looked exactly like the one she was holding.
They were also taped heavily and blacked out with black marker but the "HHJ" written on it was more visible to read.
When Y/n went to open the drawers of the desk that's where she finally found a pair of scissors. She grabbed the box she found in her room and teared off the tape with the scissors.
Before she was able to take the top of the box off, she heard someone call her name.
"Y/N!"
Y/n dropped the scissors in shock and stood up to see her sister standing in the room. "Miyeon you scared me." She held her hand on her chest. "I didn't even hear you come in."
"Sorry. Uh what- what are you doing in my room and where did you find that box?" Miyeon widened her eyes in panic.
Y/n shrugged her shoulders, "This box was packed in my boxes but I didn't have scissors so I came in here to get one then I found more of these in your room." She explains.
Miyeon panicked even more and quickly grabbed the box out of Y/n's hands. "I guess one of my boxes got mixed with your stuff."
"Oh." Y/n replied. Then she simply shrugs, "Well I gotta finish unpack." She was about to leave Miyeon's room until something crossed her mind. "By the way, what's in the boxes and why is it marked 'HHJ'?" Y/n asked.
Miyeon tried to think of something from the top of her head, "Heavy...hall...junk?"
Y/n looked just as confused as Miyeon was, "Wall decorations- why would you keep that and call it junk?"
She let out a awkward chuckle, "Okay I admit I'm a h-hoarder." The truth was that all those boxes actually belongs to Y/n and I'm guessing you already know what "HHJ" stand for.
That's right, "Hwang Hyunjin". Those boxes were filled with memories they made together from the past two years, as friends, best friends, and as a couple.
Because of what happened, her parents made Miyeon throw everything away but she couldn't do it. So she stuffed them in boxes and marked it "HHJ" but remembered her parents might catch on to that so she scratched it out with black marker and taped it shut.
She had to give Y/n at least something so she wouldn't feel as bad so she took out the photos and just packed a box full of empty picture frames.
Y/n gave her a assuring smile and nodded slowly, "Okay? Well if you need me you know where to find me."
When Y/n left the room, Miyeon sighed and sat on the bed with the box. "That was close. Is this really the best for her?" She thought out loud.
"You know what maybe I should just put these under my bed, maybe it will take off some guilt." She nodded her head.
