KABANATA 26

Halos isang buwan na ang nakalipas. Walang lead na nakahuli ang pulisya. Main reason kaya hindi itinuloy ang imbestigasyon. Bumalik sa normal ang buhay namin. Just like before. My life revolve in working. Hindi narin kami nagkita pa ni Spike. Minsan nalang kami makalabas para gumala. The whole month is tiring. Maraming pasyente kaya kailangan ng overtime.

"Emergency Room!"

Nakasabay ko si Seth papunta sa emergency room.

"Fourteen casualties ahead. Car accident." Pormal niyang sabi.

I ready myself. Halos manlumo ako ng makita ang mga sugatan na pasyente. Mabilis namin silang dinaluhan. Nandun na sina Shine at Third ng makarating ako.

"BP 80/60. We've infused two medications. The patient is unconscious." The paramedic said.

"Patient! What is your name? Patient?" I checked his pulse. There's no response.

"Cardiac arrest. Give him CPR." I advise the doctor near me.

I check the other one. "Level of consciousness?" I asked.

"Unconscious."

"I'll take him. There's more patient coming. Doc, more serious and fatal." I headed outside.

"BP 80/40,Pulse 115."

"Prepare for a surgery."

"CPR!"

"CPR!"

"Emergency!"

Isang mahabang araw ang nangyari ngayon. Halos wala kaming break maasikaso lang lahat ng pasyente.

"Ehem." Napaangat ako ng tingin.

Third offered a drink.

"Thanks."

Nasa rooftop ako. Nagpapahangin. The whole day is tiring. I want to have peace for a while.

"This building is better than the last one right?"

I nodded. "Yep."

"This is more refreshing. I love the new design. More advance but more work too." dagdag ko.

He nodded.

"May kailangan ka noh?" Mapanuri kong sabi sa kanya.

"You know me well. Hmm." He smriked.

I laughed. "I know you well. The man who's head over heels to Shine." I sipped the drink.

"Actually I want to confess and make her my girlfriend." Amin niya.

"What?!" I'm shook. "Hindi pa kayo?" Nabulunan ako sa sinabi niya.

Sa kasweetan nilang dalawa hindi pa sila? The heck.

"Hindi pa. You know Shine. She's not very vocal. I'm hesitating. I really need your help." He plead.

My face turn serious. "Do you love her?"

I want to know if he is serious. They are both my friend. I wamt them together from the first day. I witnessed how Third loves Shine. And Shine too. It's true that she's not really vocal. But her action speaks that she loves him back.

"Of course. I love her so much." Madamdamin niyang sabi.

Puno ng kaseryusuhan at pagmamahal ang kislap ng kanyang mata. The way he look at Shine. I envy her for having Third. One of the most loving person I've ever know.

"Yah. Don't tell me you're inlove. Hey, I already have Shine!" He hugged himself.

"Nahuh. You're not my type. I'm just thinking kung anong milagro at nagustuhan ka ni Shine."
