Double update, as promised.

I stood in front of the familiar door. The nerves weren't letting me knock but my pride wasn't letting me just stand there. I looked utterly stupid.
Then the door swung open with my fist midair. "Bella!" Ethan grinned, holding the door handle. "Come in!"
"T-thanks," I replied, lowering my arm. He stepped to the side and let me in. Then he put his hand on my shoulder.
"Sorry I'm not staying. Natty has me running errands. I'll be back soon," he informed me with a breathtaking smile. "Good luck."
I wasn't sure if he was saying that because Dean was here or because of something else, but I just weakly nodded and watched him leave.
Adios, handsome.
When I looked at the house in front of me, my jaw nearly dropped. Dean had a big family. Huge. So much that I wondered how they all managed to squeeze into this house.
"Bella!" Mrs. Cullen called out. She emerged from wherever the hell she came from and pulled me into a short hug. Then she swept me into the kitchen where multiple adults crowded. The women were mainly cooking and the men were sitting at the table with their beers. "The rest of the kids are outside. Go ahead." She gently nudged me toward the backdoor before leaving.
I pursed my lips before following her instructions. Hopefully Nat knew I was here. She'd skin me alive if she thought I was skipping.
"Hello," a deep voice whispered in my ear.
Clutching my heart, I spun around quickly. "Holy shit you sca–" The words died on my tongue as I stared at the guy in front of me. I blinked once. Twice. Three times.
He smirked an eerily familiar smirk before extending his hand out. "Sorry. I didn't mean to scare you."
"It's... it's okay," I said breathily. I stared blankly at his hand for a second before remembering what the hell handshakes were. I enveloped my small hand into his larger one. They were oddly smooth.
Once our hands separated, he raised a brow. "So I know you aren't one of my cousins because I think I'd remember you..." he trailed.
I blinked, unable to even comprehend that this handsome guy was right in front of me. He had pitch-black hair and welcoming brown eyes. His nose and jawline resembled the genes that ran in the Cullen family, but that was really the only similarity between the two. That and the devilishly handsome smirks.
When I didn't clarify who I was, he continued. "I'm Ashton."
It was then that I noticed he had an accent. "You're British," I blurted out.
He gave me an amused look before nodding. "Sort of. I lived there for the past five years so I picked up on the dialect," he answered. It made a lot of sense. I heard him slip out an American accent once in a while. "So, are we related? Because then this would be awkward."
"Why would it be awkward?"
He gave me a charming smile. "Because it would be weird to think your cousin is the prettiest girl in the room, right?"
On the inside, I was freaking out. This stranger was blatantly flirting with me. But on the outside, I kept my cool and scrunched my nose. "Cheesy."
"Hm, guess I'll have to try harder than," he smirked. "Speaking of... does that mean I'll have the opportunity to try out more pick-up lines on you?"
I held back a laugh. He was trying so hard to figure out who I was, it was amusing. Then again, I wasn't sure why I wasn't just answering him. "Maybe."
