"Damn it! Someone parked in Dylan's driveway! Don't they know that's not allowed?" Jaz groaned, repeatedly hitting her forehead on the steering wheel. Her foundation left a small imprint, which would make for a hilarious story one day, but not today. She seemed pissed, as is. "Bella, we're gonna have to walk!"

"It's only around the block," I laughed. "Besides, you're the one who wanted to go home after the game to change!"

"Obviously! Kim's going to be here and I wanna look my best," she said defensively.

I disapprovingly shook my head but she was too busy circling the block, trying to get a good spot. "She's seen you at your worst already."

"But you're all dolled up," she smirked, sending me a glance from the corner of her eye.

I mean, I guess I went a little extra tonight. I decided on a tight black dress. It wasn't the most modest, but it didn't show my assets either.

Before I could defend myself, Jaz excitedly squealed. "Oh my god! I found a spot! Holy shit, I can't believe–Fuck! Fuck those stupid Kia Souls! They're always so small, you can never tell when they're parked!" She then proceeded to open her window and stick her head out. "Damn you Kia for making me think there was a spot."

Needless to say, we got a few weird looks from stragglers heading up to the party.

"Jaz, relax! I'm sure there's a spot coming up," I said, trying to hide my amusement. An empty spot caught my eye and I pointed. "Look!" We both sighed with relief when no midget cars were lurking in the spot and she easily pulled in.

Since Jasmine refused to leave the game early, we had to stop by her house afterward so she could change. I couldn't complain too much considering I took my sweet time getting dolled up too. It might've had to do with the fact that Dean would be here tonight...

Well, there was one other thing. Ben was here and we were going to talk. I was going to tell him the truth.

To say I was nervous was an understatement. I felt like going in full panic-attack mode. How would he react? Would he be pissed? Would he cause a scene?

Note to self: don't get him drunk.

As soon as we entered the busy house, I turned to Jaz. Instead of making it seem like I was ditching her, I said, "Have fun with your girlfriend." After winking, I pulled her in for a quick hug before leaving her side. She visibly lightened up at the mention of Kim, meaning she wouldn't be pissed at me.

Instinctively, I made my way to the backyard. He was always outside. A lone wolf.

A frown etched my lips when I didn't see his dirty blond hair reflected in the moonlight. Dylan's backyard wasn't as heavily populated considering most activities were held inside. Not to mention, it was freezing.

Panic swelled in my chest. Did he switch back into his usual moodiness? Does he hate me again? Why isn't he here?

"Looking for me?"

The voice made me jump. Turning around, I saw the man of the hour. Ben smiled, coming closer. When he was in front of me, I noticed the multiple beer bottles he had in his hands.

He came.

I tried to bite back my ridiculous smile as we walked to a soft patch of grass. He looked handsome as ever. His hair was gelled back, a very good look for him. His outfit was entirely designer but he didn't seem to mind getting it dirty as he sat down.
