My hair cascaded down my shoulders looking pin straight. The blond was a stark contrast to the black dress that was hugging my body. My eyes trailed down my fishnet-clad legs to my black Doc Martens.
Jasmine appeared from behind me, my black feathered wings smacking her in the face. After she pretended to blow the feather out of her mouth, she grinned wider than the Cheshire cat. "You look hot."
She was dressed completely opposite of my dark attire. She was wearing a yellow dress with knee-high, orange socks. Feathers the same shade of her dress were covering her entire body. I wasn't exactly sure what she was dressed as, but she kept saying I'd understand when Kim arrived.
"I'm so glad you went for the whole Angel of Death look instead of just an angel. You look seriously sexy," Emma called out from my bed as she zipped up her thigh-high white boots. She wore a black leotard with a white puffball right above her butt and had bunny ears on. She made a cute play bunny.
I looked back in the mirror and smoothed down my short black dress. Jasmine adjusted my black halo so it sat straight on my head. I shot her a thankful smile before admiring my outfit again. At first, I was scared I wouldn't be able to pull off such a dark costume, but looking at my edgy version of an angel–something that was supposed to be pure–I nodded in approval. I did look good.
"Come on, let's go downstairs," I said as I noticed the bass vibrating the house. The party was starting.
Both Jaz and Emma raised a brow. "Really?"
"What?"
Jaz shook her head in amusement. "It's just... you hate going to parties early."
I dramatically rolled my eyes even though she was right. "It's my party. I should be there to greet my guests."
Both of the girls shook their heads. "Liar. You just want to see Dean," Emma laughed. I ducked my head to hide my blush.
"Or you want him to see you?" Jaz said suggestively. My blush was replaced by a scowl and I pushed her head away from me. She laughed at my expense, Emma giggling too.
Yeah, I was excited to see Dean and what he was wearing, but I was excited to see everyone else too. I had no idea what everyone was dressed up as.
"Hey, where's your dog?" Emma asked.
"Doggy daycare," I sighed. "He's too big to stay in my bathroom all night. And I sure as hell don't trust the people here to keep him out." Her mouth formed an 'o' shape as she nodded.
We piled out of my room and I locked the door behind me, stuffing my key in my bra. My dark wings accidentally hit Emma in the face as I turned, and I apologized profusely. She only laughed.
As we were walking out the hall, Will stepped out of one of the guest rooms. He changed here because he helped set up and didn't want his costume to get messed up. The same went for the other people that helped. Dylan managed to finesse his football jockeys into helping, which was super cool of them.
Will was dressed like a pirate. I never thought I'd see the day where he willingly wore makeup but here he was, caked up in eyeliner to make himself look like Jack Sparrow.
Emma ran over to him and went on about how hot he looked while he appreciatively raked over her outfit. Jaz grabbed my hand before they went at it in the hallway and we ran downstairs, giggling to ourselves.
