Surprisingly, Jar Jar was a fast swimmer, so the group of Jedi behind him were struggling to keep up.

The water was murky around them, and dark colored fishes swam by. After a few more seconds of swimming, a large, beautiful city came into view. The lights in the city were shining with soft orange tones that held a comforting glow, and the city itself was surrounded by some sort of bubble.

Everyone realized that Jar Jar was heading straight towards one of the bubbles, and amazingly, he walked right through it and it closed up behind him. The Jedi followed suit, each impressed at this strange contraption. The Masters were better at hiding their awe than the padawans though.

"Obi how did we get dry? What is this thing?" Chalset said in awe as she reached her hand through the bubble back into the cold water, and then pulled it back without a hint of wetness on her skin.

"It's amazing." Obi-Wan marveled as he did the same thing with his leg. They stood there poking at the bubble and seemingly entranced until Master Plo's deep baritone voice harshly snapped them out of it. "Padawans!" he exclaimed.

Chalset turned around and saw their little band as already a far length down a walkway without them.

As they ran to catch up, Obi-Wan noticed the other 'locals' that looked like Jar Jar were backing away from them and whispering in concerned voices. He recognized the emotion immediately; fear. They were afraid of them and it slightly disturbed him. The people shouldn't be afraid of Jedi. They were peacekeepers that would help keep them safe, not the other way around. Obi-Wan took this time to realize that not everyone was going to like or feel safe around them.

Meanwhile, Jar Jar was waltzing with a swagger in his step as if he owned the place. He was in a wonderful mood now that he was back where he belonged. The surface wasn't very good to him. Then again, the sight of a Gungan racing toward him with an electro-pole told him that neither was under the surface.

"Hey yousa, stopa there!" The Gungan said forcefully, his tone not one to mess around with.

Everyone stopped and looked at Jar Jar.

"Heyo-dalee, Captain Tarpals. Mesa Back!" he yelled with a big smile and his hands up as if he expected applause.

Captain Tarpals looked like he was done dealing with Jar Jar. "Noah again, Ja Ja." he said wearily. "Yousa goen to da Bosses. Yousa in big dudu this time."

Well that doesn't sound good. Chalset thought as other guards came with electric-poles. One of them zapped Jar Jar's leg with it, and that was enough to tell him that they weren't playing around this time.

The meeting with the 'boss' went quite well frankly thanks to Qui-Gon's mind tricks, and they were able to receive a transport to take them to the Queen.

Obi-Wan asked what a 'Bongo' was.

Jar Jar was set free.

They traveled through the planet's core and nearly got killed twice.

Once they got to the Naboo palace, they found out that Queen Amidala and her handmaidens and guards were being held captive, so they freed them.

Jar Jar fell on the ground.

Chalset nearly got shot from turning around on her injured leg too slowly.

Master Plo realized that the droids were far too easy to destroy and chopped 20 of them.

Qui-Gon said 'Coruscant' one too many times.

They boarded the sleekest looking ship the Padawans had ever seen.

Jar Jar said "How wude!"

Obi and Chal shared at look.

They passed the blockade to escape the planet and nearly got killed again.

Realized that the hyperdrive was damaged as well as the ship.

Obi-Wan pointed out a discreet planet called 'Tatooine' where they could land and work on repairs, and that's where they were now.

"The hyperdrive generator is gone, Master." Obi-Wan said pointedly to his long-haired mentor. He was on the floor next to Chalset, looking at the hyperdrive machine that was missing parts. They'd get nowhere without it.

"That'll complicate things." Qui-Gon responded before his brow furrowed in concentration. He was currently adjusting his bland clothing that would help him to be inconspicuous in the settlement that they had found a little ways off. He'd have to find a hyperdrive generator that fit the Nabovian ship they were on now. "Be wary..." he warned the two Padawans. "I sense a disturbance in the Force."

"I felt it also, Master." Obi-Wan said.

Master Po came to the scene a few seconds later dressed in clothes very similar to Qui-Gon's. "Something's coming, that much we are sure. The dark side of the Force has clouded our vision." he added to Qui-Gon's speech, receiving a nod from both Padawans at that point.

The way that they were looking up at him from their position on the floor flooded Plo with memories from when they were just small younglings and could hardly hold a lightsaber without help. Though they were more than capable now, it still reminded him of how young they really were. "And please, stay out of trouble." he added, clearly remembering their recent theft attempt.

"Yes, Master." Chaset said sheepishly.

After that, the two Masters left the ship along with Jar Jar, leaving their apprentices with their thoughts on the threat they knew to be coming.

Chalset hopped onto her feet and beckoned Obi-Wan to follow. "Come on Obi," she said as she walked out of the room and into the ship's walkway.

"And where are you going exactly?"

"To the cockpit so we can see outside. Come on it'll be fun!"

Obi-Wan groaned and propped his head back against the wall. "There's nothing fun about going to the cockpit to look outside when you're parked in the middle of a sea of sand." he said. He wanted more than anything to finish their mission, and the current downfalls and setbacks had put him in a somewhat bad mood.

Chalset folded her arms over her chest defiantly. "Oh come on Obi! Maybe we'll see some exotic sand worm or something cool like that."

"I don't appreciate your definition of 'cool'."

"Oh but what if I said that you were in it?"

Obi-Wan frowned, which he did quite often and was a face that was much cuter than you'd expect frown to be. "If that were the case...then forget what I just said."

"So you'll come with me?!" Chalset said excitedly.

"Maybe..."

"Oh come on!" she said again, using the Force to slightly tug on Obi-Wan's padawan braid.

"Hey, hey hey!" he said while getting up to stand on his feet. He gingerly stroked his braid and shot a glare at his friend. "It takes a lot to achieve hair as fine as this. You can't just mess it up!" Chal just smirked and stood at the doorway with her arms still crossed. "Plus, Qui-Gon just rebraided it this morning--"

"Well I'm going, and you're more than welcome to join me." Chalset said, cutting Obi-Wan off in what she knew would somehow turn into a long lecture. He seemed to enjoy making those, much to the dismay of the unfortunate listener.

In the cockpit, Chalset looked out into the wide terrain of unforgiving sand. It was beautiful in its own way; heat waves cousin to the magnificent waves of the ocean and sea.

She was surprised to feel Obi-Wan's force signature at the door of the cockpit behind her, but she didn't beckon for him to sit down.

His presence was more than enough.
